Democratic Primaries 2020 - Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

I’m not sure about endorse, endorse, but Sanders campaigned for Hillary and has already committed to campaigning for Biden so

I didn’t think what you said was racist, but I had to read your post a few times before I was convinced. I could understand it if someone else found it offensive. I thought it was ok though.

dems want me to vote for a guy that championed the Iraq war and lied about it. Nope. Never.

They disenfranchise college and working voters in the primary and slow count votes in states Bernie won. And there are 10 percent exit poll discrepancies in mass. Not using my vote to support this.

And that’s without bringing up the caged families. Supreme Court? Obama got us Neil Gorsuch I’m sure Biden will hold McConnell’s hand as we put another conservative on there.

Sorry dems you have to earn my vote. Warren stans have shown me the way. I don’t owe my vote to anyone

What’s your explanation for why Warren hasn’t endorsed Biden?

It’s wild how the attack and the defense are identical.

Gorsuch was nominated by Trump, after you refused to vote for Clinton in the last election…

When Warren killed Bloomberg’s campaign, plenty Bernie or Busters in here were cheering her on. Now I’m seeing Vict0ar et al claim that Warren has done everything in her power to stop Bernie. Perhaps you, too, should cut down on the sanctimony. True believer leftists aren’t as immune to faltering in their clarity of vision and consistent, rational thinking as y’all seem to believe.

I have no problem with Warren not endorsing anyone (I would assume she’d endorse Bernie). It serves no purpose. Everyone knows Biden will be the nominee. It’s not like her supporters need her to show them the way. Unless they are near brain death, they know she most closely aligns with Bernie. And if that’s not what matters to them, then great, they can evaluate the two candidates and figure things out.

If she’s waiting to try to use her political leverage to get a spot in Biden’s administration, fine! She’d be great in the administration (though I’m not sure about losing her in the Senate). If she’s waiting to try to use her political leverage to influence Biden’s platform, fine! That’s a good thing to do.

Whatever. I basically don’t give a fuck. She can do what she wants and people who are complaining about it are overestimating her influence on the electorate. She wasn’t going to push Bernie over the hump.

Poor people need healthcare. Thought Warren was an ally in that but she’s garbage just like her defenders

She believes her two-step process has a better chance of achieving M4A within four years than Bernie’s way.

I don’t think Warren and Sanders are in disagreement about the endpoint of the journey. Their difference is more over how to get there. Her plan is different from Buttigieg’s plan to do a public option then see if people are interested in going further. She has a definite timeline for implementing M4A.

Whether her plan actually has a better chance of getting to M4A is up for debate, but I don’t think it is correct to say that she was never really for M4A.

she doesn’t have a plan anymore because she’s not running. now she’s back to being a senator that cosponsored the Medicare for all bill in the Senate. She should probably elaborate on whether that bill is good or not.

There’s no reason to doubt that she would vote for it.

Well she seemed to have some serious problems with it on the campaign trail. If it was no good why would she change it? Has she ever spoken about that? Why would she change the bill? Why would that not lessen her chances of voting for it?

And by the way it’s not going to a vote so it’s pretty easy to cosponsor and then never have to vote for it. If she was using it for personal political gain it wouldn’t look any different than what’s happening.

You’re a serious mark. Warren hoodwinked you.

I’m disappointed in Yang even though he said from the get go that he would endorse whoever was the nominee. Still seemed waaaay to early though.

The jury is out on him. In 5-10 years we will have a better idea if he is one of the good guys or just an opportunistic grifter. (Or something in between)

I still lean towards him being one of the good guys but it’s a possibility he isn’t.

Even if he’s president, how is Sanders going to pass legislation that’s too progressive for Warren??
