What?
If Biden is president without the Senate, how is he going to get a Supreme Court justice through
Well… you need 60 votes to pass a bill through the senate. If Warren isn’t on team M4A, what 60 votes are you counting on?
Well yeah he’d have to adjust for snakes that claimed to want to give poor people healthcare but were lying
Fuck you bob man
If you want to have a discussion you shouldn’t accuse me of Not voting Hillary Like you know me at all
In her mind, she improved upon it.
She will probably vote for anything that she thinks will improve the situation. She is more likely to vote for an imperfect bill that fixes some things than Bernie is. As I said before, she’s a pragmatic progressive whereas he is an ideological progressive. I think they are mostly in tune on outcomes, at least on economic issues, while they disagree about how to get there. This doesn’t matter too much when they are in the minority in the Senate with a majority party whose members are indisinclined to engage in bipartisan compromise. It would be different if the Democrats had a majority or if there was such a thing as a Republican moderate.
You may deny that Warren is a pragmatic progressive, but do you agree that there can be such a things as opposed to a more ideological progressive who doesn’t compromise very much?
Lotta words that just boil down to “I’m a mark”
She hasn’t used her post campaign platform to push for any of these issues. She’s silent in the face of this rampant inequality. Even worse she’s actively joking on SNL about her endorsement. It’s a game to her. She can prove me wrong by taking a side in this primary. even if it’s just on issues that aren’t snake emojis
She never said shit while she was in the Senate about this “new and improved” plan. She hung on to it for political expediency, knowing it would never come to a vote. Then she struck out on her own and abandoned it as soon as the campaign started to go under.
And her marks still defend her
Pragmatism is when you tell the poors it’s too complicated to fight for their rights immediately. Even when other countries have figured it out.
As always
He might be able to do it by nominating one of the top current choices for Trump. But more likely McConnell just says nah screw you like when Obama tried to nominate Garland who is like a 1980s Republican.
Then McConnell will nominate Eric Trump in the next Republican admin.
Yeah, like why are all these idiots failing a literacy test? They should have just learned how to read
This is kinda BS, all the bills he gets flamed for voting for are ones where Bernie made a compromise vote.
Yep. People saying to vote for Biden because Supreme Court never contend with how his administration lost the midterms and then laid down for McConnell to select Gorsuch. Biden has been even more explicit in his desire to work with Republicans, years after it should have been obvious that they were bad faith actors.
Citing Supreme Court as a reason to vote Biden is not anywhere close to the lock that people make it out to be.
It was more important to her to push a wealth tax. That doesn’t mean that she doesn’t believe in M4A. It’s just not a priority for her in the same way that it is for Bernie. She would probably expend political capital on passing a wealth tax before she spent it on passing Medicare For All. And if you think she doesn’t really care about passing a wealth tax, I think you would be very wrong.
People need healthcare now and it’s disappointing to find out she never cared about it. Maybe we should roll out coronavirus testing under a three year plan too!
She said “I’m with Bernie on Medicare for all” can we at least admit that part was a lie
Biden is having a press conference right now. Taking it to Trump on COVID-19.
Interestingly, Howard Stern said the other day that Biden should just get a team together, get a plan going, and announce it to the public, like he’s just taking over. He’s kind of doing that right now.
Man this is some sad delusion. The delegate rules were different in Obama’s run. I’m not going to check if that figure is accurate, but I’m pretty sure Hillary had a bunch of super delegates that Obama didn’t. In terms of voting, Obama was winning about the same number of votes as Hillary; he won slightly more delegates on ST than her. What you need to know is that 538’s model gives Bernie a <0.1 chance. Bernie is drawing to Biden having a health crisis in the next month. Barring that it’s over. Continuing this is no better than MuellerTime, we got him now.
Yeah it’s over unless Grandpa Joe has a health event, and even then they’ll just run Hillary again.
Nah. This is how we get president Pelosi!
Yep. The media used to report pledged support from superdelegates in the delegate totals. Bernie’s camp complained about this in 2016, claiming it made him look like he was further behind than he actually was.
This is not comparable to 2008 at all. Once this withered to a 2 person race (lol Tulsi) Bernie started getting crushed. He has to win the remaining primaries by pretty huge margins to catch up. Even him outperforming his current polling by 20 points probably doesn’t get him there.
