Democratic Primaries 2020 - Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

I agree with you that these types of clips and photos are a great way to show the momentum, the excitement, and the support of the campaign. They do share this stuff regularly on their FB/Twitter feeds, but as you said there are tons of people who are on neither. Have you considered reaching out to the campaign with this feedback? Maybe try emailing info@berniesanders.com and ask if they’ve considered pushing this stuff out via additional channels.

As an example, Mike Bloomberg could use “civility” as a way to keep Bloomberg LP employees in line. Mike would be using it as intentional tool, his employees as an excuse to go against their conscious.

We at Bloomberg LP are extremely supportive of LGBTQ rights, our employees are strongly encouraged to advocate for these causes!

Meanwhile at Bloomberg LP, we believe Commie Bernie would be devastating to the economy, him and his Commies want to send us to the guillotines! Okay Bloomberg LP employees, maybe your head is not literally on the line is, but we will cut your job though, massive layoffs are a given at Bloomberg LP under a Bernie Administration.

You sure you don’t want to just focus on LGBTQ issues? Human Rights Campaign said Bernie did a very bad thing on LGBTQ issues. Such a very bad thing is the exact opposite of the very good things we stand for here at Bloomberg LP!

I think an important distinction between why Trumps content feels inescapable and Bernie’s content feels hidden is the MSM coverage and narrative. MSM shows every one of Trumps KKK rallies. They do stories about the thousands of people who line up for hours waiting to see him. They amplify his tweets.

The same MSM runs stories about Bernie’s aggressive supporters being mean. They amplify Bloombergs bullshit commercial about the mean Bernie bros (literally just saw this on MSNBC). They attack Bernie as unelectable, thus furthering the narrative that he has a relatively small amount of support. They never cover his massive rallies, share his tweets, or discuss the groundswell of support. All of this leads to…

That.

Definitely let us know what response you get back from the campaign. I’m genuinely interested to hear their take on your perspective.

That’s not for me to say, but probably, especially if what Chris says accurately reflects what Sanders believes, that ultimately, LGBTQ issues aren’t important to real people, and that educated elites cynically leverage LGBTQ issues in a struggle for power against other leftists, or something.

Jesus what fragile little creatures. They can be talked into supporting Bernie’s policies, but tell them they should seriously rethink their dudebro alt-right grievances and they’re back to not giving a fuck if people die because the healthcare system is atrocious. It’s almost as if they’re terrible people.

Not a tweet I expected coming from him.

Replying to my own post because this is so insane. Hillary didn’t publicly support gay marriage until 2013! Bernie Sanders was championing trans rights when he was Mayor of Burlington in the 80s! Just awful, awful posting.

Tbf Matt said he’d vote for Trump in that situation which I would never do. But yeah.

Just because trans people really need healthcare too, it doesn’t follow that people who advocate for LGBTQ rights beyond healthcare are doing it for performative reasons. Most gay people could have benefited from M4A in the 80s and 90s, but they also could have benefited from less employment discrimination and having the right to get married and raise children. They could also have benefited from Reagan and his pals not being homophobic sacks of shit (if I’m allowed to say that) that could have led to a much better government response to the HIV/AIDS health crisis.

Going soft on LGBQT issues after getting the Joe Rogan endorsement feels like an order of operations problem.

Not constantly mentioning something does not = going soft. The guy has a record. Like, he’s the only one of these clowns with a positive record in that regard. Wtf m8

Seems like he should keep on doing what he’s doing, then? I don’t get the argument that Sanders needs to pander to the Roganbros when they’ve already jumped on board.

The real question is, knowing what he now knows about how warren will perform in iowa and new hampshire, if he could go back in time would he support bernie over warren?

Damn, Stacey.

Just in case anyone doesn’t get this, it’s because Hillary was an insincere opportunist who only started opposing GOP-style family values when it became politically necessary, whereas Bernie supported those rights despite it being politically costly to do it.
