That’s gotta be an old pic of Frankie. Either that or he lost a ton of weight.

Agreed its probably around 2012…

Is it petty to point out that the the distance between the people in that first picture is not 4 feet, but 3√2?

My dad, about to turn 70 and had a heart infection a year ago, turned one of his cpap masks into a respirator by putting a charcoal filter in the tube which he then tucks into his shirt. Looks absolutely ridiculous. He wore it when he had to go to a dr appt a few days ago and said:

“When they are rationing the ventilators I will be at the bottom of the list. I don’t give a fuck who laughs at me for this.”

Uh, did you forget to add both sides together before solving or something. Hypotenuse of a right triangle can’t be shorter than the legs… The corners of that square are 8.4 feet apart.

Seems huge. FDA has even approved a cpap machine as an emergency ventilator. I can’t find how many cpap machines there are, but seems like a lot.

While that measure could stretch the supply of ventilators and save lives, it has a major drawback. Officials and scientists have known for years that when used with a face mask, such alternative devices can possibly increase the spread of infectious disease by aerosolizing the virus, whether used in the hospital or at home.

Indeed, that very scenario may have contributed to the spread of COVID-19 within a Washington state nursing home that became ground zero in the United States. First responders called to the Life Care Center of Kirkland starting Feb. 24 initially used positive airway pressure machines, often known as CPAPs, to treat residents before it was known the patients were infected with COVID-19.

The graphic does imply that the diagonal is 6 ft, not 12 ft which is what you’re saying (I think).

We should all be able to agree that it’s a rubbish graphic, though.
