Is it a super villain or maybe a super hero taking out RWNJs one at a time?

From Riverman’s article

“I’ll be honest, I don’t watch a lot of the news, because stuff like that, you’re almost—you’re almost ashamed if you don’t have it. You know, you’re trying to kill people. If you don’t get the vaccine, you’re killing people. And so I don’t watch a lot of it. But no, to be honest, I haven’t. Nobody’s ever, that I’ve heard, came out and addressed: ‘Hey, here’s how we did this so quick.’” The articles about all the unvaccinated dead aren’t persuading him; they’re not even reaching him.

Keep in mind that this is the #1 strategy for pro vax folks, which anti vaxxers can defeat by changing the channel. They are further given a powerful incentive to change the channel because it makes them feel bad. This isn’t exclusive to them, ~everybody prefers media that makes them feel good.

Because Riverman didn’t link the article.

Such bullshit.

The mere act of watching news media is self-abuse. Ever feel better about the world after watching the news? Hell even if you did for a brief time, it didn’t last long likely because you made the foolish decision to watch the news another time.

These deplorables watch Hannity and Tucker for the sole purpose of being told what to be angry or depressed about. It’s their rush. Nobody watches those shows and comes out a happier person.

They’re not getting vaccinated and nobody’s changing their mind. They need to know that it’s not okay to be that way.

Are you disagreeing with me? Yes, watching the network news can be depressing, but that doesn’t mean one shouldn’t watch it.

Yes. They watch because they want to feel bad.

If feeling good boosted ratings, the top stories would all be firefighters saving cats from trees.

When somebody says they don’t watch something about vaccines because it makes them feel bad, they’re basically saying “Be nice to me so I can continue to be a terrible person without ever being held accountable for my actions thank you.”

Shame is a powerful tool and they should feel miserable in the last few minutes of their life for their actions.

It would be far more productive to shame people who are healthy.

Lol at the idea that Trumpers will start watching CNN again if we just stop shaming them on social media, which they never see.

Both can be done at the same time.

I know you get hard on being adversarial but it has not been a good look for you.

Jesse Kelly agrees with the Atlantic’s take.

They would start watching CNN if they started acting like Fox. The point is, we have to stop using MSM articles of anti vaxxers dying as a primary tool of persuasion, which isn’t the same as don’t print them.

Who says anything about persuasion?

Nobody is being persuaded of anything on vaccines anymore. That shit is over. Everybody in the vaccine eligible demographic has made their decision and barring a vaccine mandate of some kind, it won’t change.

What next? Are you gonna tell us to gently persuade olds to not vote for Trump for the third time come 2024 by being nice and friendly to them?

Ok JD Vance.

In what universe is anything we do persuading anti-vaxxers one way or the other?

99% of shit liberals and the left post is just to fire up our own side. Maybe there are some lurkers who haven’t completely made up their minds yet. But I’m not convinced that pointing out the idiocy of anti-vaxxers dying of covid is ineffective on them, or that treating anti-vaxxers with kid gloves would be any better.

(Everyone is vaccinated!!! Except for the dealers and other staff for whom vaccines are not mandated)

@iron81 we live in a world where trump got booed for telling people to get vaccinated. You’ll have to understand why I don’t believe there’s much that people who report the truth could do.

I think I’ve helped persuade at least one person to get vaccinated.

Most of these people would rather die than admit they were wrong. The only chance there is to convince any of them is someone in their life that is close to them or they respect and even that Is a long shot. What the media reports doesn’t matter. If these people cared about what the media said they would be vaccinated
