Maybe!
I was in a similar spot a couple of weeks ago, and I was rooting for
mild case > asymptomatic > very symptomatic case (even if not hospitalized).
That was my desire before getting tested. But I ended up testing negative so it was all moot.
It was definitely not âevidence-basedâ, but itâs what my gut was telling me based on what I know.
Cool that theyâre gonna be shitting all over the bed as theyâre slowly suffocating.
Suppository, ldo.
I find it a little hard to believe that a hospital visitor whoâs âfiddling with knobs, pushing buttons, literally seemed like they were trying to kill the patientâ wouldnât be immediately and forcibly ejected by security.
That seems like a zero-tolerance situation. Like if thereâs a guy on your flight whoâs talking to himself and trying to open the exit door, duck tape to seat first, ask questions later.
A buddy of mineâs dad has went downhill and is on a vent, requiring dialysis and canât keep his bp up. It doesnât sound good. Buddy is a physicianâs assistant, vaxxed, but his sister is a psychotic anti mask antivaxxer. Iâm pretty sure the dad is unvaxxed.
Fwiw, that blood donor study had this table in it. Third row has estimated ratio of infections to reported cases. Consistently a little over 2 for a while.
I would be shocked if they were quickly removed, and dumbfounded if they were forcibly ejected. It typically takes way more than what you might think
I thought that the wastewater analysis stuff done early on was a good thing to do but there wasnât much follow up on that
Thatâs surprising. Especially in the room. Maybe depends on the security guard. As a visitor, Iâve been harrassed for putting my head down at a table in the cafeteria and lying down on a waiting room couch. Also yelled at for pausing to check my phone in the ICU hallway. Maybe I just have a suspicious look. Seen homeless escorted out of the lobby a few times.
I literally can only think of 4 visitors banned from the hospital. One gave the patient heroin, one assaulted a nurse, one assaulted the patient, and the last is the death cult pastor who repeatedly refused to wear a mask in the hospital (he was given half a dozen chances). Iâm sure thereâs been more, but it really is a rare event.
I guess itâs simultaneously enraging and unsurprising. I just canât imagine thinking it would be a good idea to randomly press some buttons on machines hooked up to a patient. I hope itâs at least a rare occurrence.
Like if I showed up on the bridge of the Enterprise and started pressing random buttons at Spockâs science station, Iâd expect to get neck-pinched pretty quick.
There was an anti restriction protest outside a hospital causing people to reachedule/cancel appointments here and even the local sun, right wing newspaper just blasted these idiots.
So many threads this could go in.
Jab #2 complete. Still alive. Will update you if that changes.
Magnetic? Isnât it Japan with the metal bits recall?
Very glad to hear you have both on board. Anyone else itt still waiting?
The sweetest one I ever had was a guy who needed to be admitted for some nonsense. Forget what it was, but he wasnât altered or anything. He refused our screening covid swab in early May. Our department had lost 4-5 people at that point. I told him getting the swab wasnât optional if he wanted to stay. He said no. I told him he had to leave. He refused to leave. I told him he would be arrested, he didnât believe me. He said sorry a lot when he got arrested and removed.
As a side note for other people - hospital security varies but itâs usually mall cop type stuff. NYCHC hospitals are the only place that I worked at with real cops inside.
