Delighted to report Iâve been recalled to my physical office to perform the job that Iâve been doing fully remote for 18 months on Monday. Get to enjoy being masked all day and sheltering in place and not being allowed to gather with other employees for meetings due to the danger (yet I am in shared office space), been issued a web cam so I can video conference with my colleagues who have also been recalled. Confirmed some co-workers are anti-vax, no mandate, only weekly testing for unvaxxed. And this is higher ed.
Cool, glad the pandemic is over, except not over, but also over.

You might have missed this
Sage expected hospitalisations in England to peak somewhere near the lower range, namely 2,000 a day, but no sooner was the modelling complete than hospitalisations began to fall. The decline was unexpected. What it suggests is that â for now â the effect of unlocking on fuelling the epidemic is more than offset by the combination of peopleâs behaviour and immunity, whether from vaccination or infection.

Itâs so hard to isolate out when there is an unvaxxed population side by side. How well vaxxed can transmit to vaxxed is the question without any major spewers running around.

not necessarily though. The error bars around how infectious delta is are still quite large, and even more so for specific subgroups like those who have been infected and those who are vaccinated. Weâll see.
