Can’t share the link, from a work expert network call.
Agreed this guy is a bear, but the nurse shortage so no Minnesota ICU/reinfection picking up/picking up severe infections does have me worried because I don’t think he’d straight lie about it, he is tied in to the administration, and it would sort of explain the sudden booster for everyone announcement.
His take is reinfection isn’t rare, but didnt really have evidence there so didn’t put in the original post. It was based heavily on like Iran having a 5th wave and other anecdotes.
So, should I just go out and get Moderna or something? My second Novavax shot was in early February, they haven’t said anything about boosters, and they keep delaying their EUA submission for reasons unrelated to the quality of the jab. Kind of annoying.
Yes, I was in a trial. The data on Novavax basically is just as effective as either mRNA shot that doesn’t need a deep freeze and seems to have reduced side effects. Based on an older vaccine type too. They just can’t get their admin and supply chain shit in order from my understanding to file. Kind of a shame too, if anyone is even left to persuade with reason getting this particular shot counters a lot of the stupid shit people say about mRNA.
I know it won’t help and it’s counter productive and all that, but just once I want to see one of these obnoxious anti-vax assholes harassing doctors and school board members just get the ever loving shit beat out of them.
Holy shit are these numbers real? (Not so much the 56k as that’s likely multiple days, but the 7dma at almost 30k, wow. Going to double up the previous 7dma like a week after reaching it.)
BREAKING: Arizona Governor Doug Ducey just announced a program allowing families to take their children’s education dollars elsewhere if their public schools close, mandate masks, or subject children to other COVID-19 constraints.
Meh, he’s term limited so he dgaf. Just doing everything he can to make sure he sets him self up for the sweetest gig possible after he’s out of office.
Dr Osterholm did cite one piece of data I
missed at first pass. He said Minnesota does try to do genetic testing to find outbreaks and said that they had found 4 outbreak clusters related to outdoor activity from March 2020 through June 2021. He said they found nine in July 2021 alone and trending at least the same for August.
Obviously people’s behavior isn’t constant over time, one state data, etc, but if you have unmasked outside but not inside (and I fall in this bucket personally outside of outside crowds), might be time to throw the n95 back on outside too.
