COVID-19: Chapter 8 - Ongoing source of viral information, and a little fun

So happy that, thanks to a bunch of selfish morons, I have to consider keeping my daughter out of her first year of school again. She is so excited, was last year too, and will be absolutely crushed if we don’t let her go.

This is why the dumbfucks at Fox are going with the “Ask your doctor” narrative. It allows them to continue to spread their message without being explicit

If you are actually not wearing a mask with the goal of infecting unvaccinated people, that doesn’t make you an edgelord, just a terrible person.

I’ve never claimed to be a good person.

My vaccinated but severely immunocompromised mother-in-law, and my two unvaccinated kids thank you for doing your patriotic duty.

that just makes you a committed edgelord.

Pretty good summary article for an informed but not highly technical reader.

My daughter turns 12 in 3 months. Should i just lie about her age and get her the vaccine now?

I am living in Florida, which is at all time covid high, with a no mask mandate in school in an area where nobody wears masks.

I am also considering moving somewhere with less covid for half a school year, or until she can get vaccinated. I work remotely so no issues there. Any recommendations?

Ideally, I would like the following:

  1. School that requires masks
  2. School that does some form of covid testing on the students (pod/rapid/etc)
  3. Area with low covid numbers
  4. Easy short term rentals (least important but could be helpful)

I have been looking at Burlington, VT (Bernies home). Any recommendations?

My new comedy stylings:

Does half your office own boats?

You might be an outbreak.

Does your office have a Merry CHRISTMAS Party?

You might be an outbreak.

Hads there ever been a MyPullow referral given at the warred cooler?

You might be an outbreak.

There was a program that would pay remote workers to come live in Vermont. I don’t know if it’s still active.

Wife and I don’t have kids, so can’t speak to the school stuff, but I would imagine it would be much more sensible here than literally anywhere in Florida.

Both the vax and infection numbers are pretty good up here in NH, and you’ll also get some nice fall foliage.

I don’t think lying about her age is a good idea for a multitude of reasons, including whether you think she would be able to lie convincingly if she’s asked directly for her full birth date.

San Francisco city and county are the same borders. With no unincorporated areas, running the jail is the only thing I remember them doing. They won’t be missed.

Who is going to be surprised when some idiot Republican decides that the solution is that we need to get rid of those requirements also?

Apparently you can opt out on religious grounds. But only 2-3% do so the system still works. When 40% are opting out they’ll have to come up with a new policy.
