COVID-19: Chapter 7 - Brags, Beats, and Variants

I’m still surprised that “If you’re so worried about me not wearing a mask, why don’t you wear two?” didn’t get more of a foothold. It’s so simple and elegant.

Pharmacies are trying to rehire pharmacists and technicians they have laid off over the last several years, as online fulfillment has crept up and reduced labor needs, in order to help with the distribution This plan is, um, not very good! This thread is on the right track, it needs to be a government operation done at scale. Otherwise, Im looking forward to the PS5 botmasters selling off CVS vaccination appointment slots at exorbitant prices as we enter the spring/summer months

Through week of 12/19. Deaths per population

Roughly 0.5% of senior citizens dead of Covid this year and accounting for about 12% of all deaths in that he group.

Pretty decent chance it will double to 1% of senior citizens by the time this wave is done.

Counting the time until someone calculates the savings to social security from this.

I don’t know if it’s a defcon one grammatical error but why ‘puts myself at risk’ and not ‘puts me at risk’ with these people

He did specifically mention Obama somewhere.

I assume he is at least getting visited by secret service.

That is not troublesome at all. Odds that guy kills someone or gets killed is like 2/5.

This is the problem with all the board room calculations. It involves real people with real breaking points. It’s not a computer simulation.

Thank god for all our medical professionals, but I would not blame a one from walking away.

This fear of overloaded resources was known in March. When it didn’t arrive by April 15th nobody did anything further. Eight months to develop and execute and most did nothing in support of their workers.

Probably technically some kind of crime, there are lots of federal statutes you could make an argument this runs afoul of. Is this guy going to be charged with a crime for such a general threat? Probably not.
