COVID-19: Chapter 6 - ThanksGRAVING

“We’re seeing daily numbers of cases and hospitalizations that we’ve not experienced and, frankly, did not anticipate,” said L.A. County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer. “Our intensive care unit bed capacity continues to drop. We’re on a very dangerous track to seeing unprecedented and catastrophic suffering and death.”

Disappointed my fellow unstuckers are not taking their sacred duty of being a juror seriously.

SIKE!

Is that how you spell sike?

246k new cases (a new high by almost 10k) and over a 9/11 worth of deaths today. Rounding the corner. Any day now.

Prolly impossible but it would be pretty interesting to see the data on R or Ds getting the vid. On deaths as well.

Murica is a go.

Didnt anticipate? Didnt fucking anticipate? I made a post weeks ago about how Newsom needed to shut down NOW and not two weeks in the future because things were gonna be turbo fucked by that point, and the fucking county public health director DIDNT ANTICIPATE that this was coming when the numbers were growing exponentially?

What the ever loving fuck? How can a goddamn health director not understand very simple fucking math.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccckkkkkkk

Both “millions” and “soon” are a LOOOOONNNNGGGGGG way off of us getting out of this any time soon. Especially with the country having gone fucking turbo and without the Thanksgiving death numbers even showing up yet.

The numbers in two weeks might be double a 9/11a day

We still have xmas and nye in 2 and 3 weeks respectively.

Its outrageous. Can you imagine an equivalent number of people traveling on Christmas with the infection rate where it is now? We are sure doing our best to kill the absolute most number of people we can prior to the vaccine arriving.

Fuck me, humans are so fucking stupid.

Not on that magnitude, but 6 weeks later VDAY. Karen isn’t cooking on v day.

She’s lying. She took the path of least political resistance and now she’s covering her ass by pretending to be surprised.

$2k minimum in the savings option before you can invest in stonks, then they tack on I think an extra 0.35-0.4% in fees over the Vanguard fees. So like 8-10x what the Vanguard fees are.

It was Texas missing. 15k/232. Only saw the top line numbers and knew a bigger state had to be outstanding still.

Who was the guy that gave pretty practical advice about everyday finances prolly about 20 years ago?. He had some what I thought were reasonable rules of thumb for rental properties, refi, etc. and good at calling people knuckleheads.

Ramsey is a nut. I have a friend that he and his wife live that lifestyle
And even teach it at their church to other people.

When they moved to California for work and had to get a mortgage is was hard for them. I talked him into finally getting a rewards credit card instead of using debit 100%. He was always having issues travelling for work. The anti-fraud and theft protections are vastly superior on a good credit card. Plus the rewards for churn.

When you let dogma run you decisions instead of using your own judgement…

Served twice. Foreman once. Interesting experiences for another time.

Well, this sucks. I’m on 14 day mandatory isolation. On Nov 30 a buddy stopped by to wish me happy birthday, so I had face to face contact with him. He just let me know he’s not been feeling well and has tested positive, as has his elderly mother that lives with him. This is my first one-degree-of-separation encounter with the roney. Happy birthday indeed.

I’ve had no symptoms, but have a test booked at a drive thru for Mon just in case. The 14 day mandatory isolation affects me almost zero as I doubt I’d have left the house at all anyway, but it would have been nice to have the option.
