This happened to me for about two weeks back in the late summer. My standard 3bet size is 3.5x+1 in position and 4.5x+1 out. I couldn’t do the math in my head. Normally it would take like a second or less. I found myself staring at the screen and guesstimating. It was terrifying.
I assume it was stress, because it subsided after a week or two. There were other similar issues, lots of typos, extreme fatigue. But that one really stood out.
Hang in there! Try to take some time to completely unplug and relax, do something for yourself - could be taking a walk somewhere isolated so you feel safe, ordering something in your next grocery order that’s a treat, watching a favorite movie, whatever you will enjoy for a little while.
“We think they’ll go up toward 3,000 deaths a day in January.”
Lol GJGE dumbass. This motherfucker is one of the most widely regarded experts in modeling this pandemic.
Like how stupid can everyone be? We had 2,857 deaths yesterday. We’re already “up toward 3,000.” Get the fuck out.
I’m supposed to believe Chris Murray, Anderson Cooper, Sanjay Gupta, and everyone working behind the scenes are that fucking stupid? Come on. Or nobody wants to call him out? This shit is going to turn me into a conspiracy theorist.
Like this clown is probably making 250K a year or more (their average scientist makes like 120K), and any one of us can look at the graph so far, squint and be like “lol no.”
What the fuck is this shit??? Fire IHME into the sun.
Older folks have on average worse outcomes from Covid, so when weighing the risk of the disease and the risk of a vaccine, they weigh the risk of the disease more heavily. Younger folks think they are more likely to only get a mild case of the 'Rona, so the potential risk of a vaccine weighs more heavily.
I think older folks are more likely to just listen to doctors when it comes to vaccines. They got 'em as kids because the doctors told their parents to give them to them. They got them in the military because the military told them they had to have them. They got their kids vaccinated because the pediatrician said so. These young punks today, though, they want to " do their own research" and end up falling down the anti-vax rabbit hole.
I learned we have a dashboard today. We got 45 covid patients confirmed. Our overcrowding score is 330. 180 is critically overcrowded. No idea how that’s calculated. Lots of vents available! Only 2 ICU beds left with 4 ICU holds in the ER
Continuing on with humanity sucks and people dont care. Turns out the guy at work who infected and quarantined a bunch of people was breaking isolation going around town shopping and going to bars and stuff. Cant even get people who have it to stop being assholes.
The trump years are very revealing. I mean ive never had much faith in society but this year is something.
The media and these laughably dumb institutions like IHME are just like every other institution in this shit hole of a country. Totally corrupt money grubbing scum and everyone has their jobs because of who they knew not because they have any degree of competence or integrity.
I mean think about it. Networking is literally openly taught in school in every profession. There is never a pretense of you succeed through intelligence and competence. It’s who you know and we are taught how critical it is to go try and form relationships with people around us who are or who might be influential. People literally even marry people in some cases for this reason. It’s just another structural mechanism to keep the rich rich and the poor poor.
I would assume when you get dose A, they will give you an appointment essentially of where and when to show up for dose B which will be same maker.
The timing isn’t very open from my understanding. (ie they haven’t had time to test variability of the interval between doses so they will try to keep it as constant as possible).
Losing whatever it is that works about my brain and ending up poor again is one of my bigger fears. Every time it doesn’t cooperate when I ask it for something it makes me feel like an even bigger imposter .
On a day that started out rainy (pro tip rainy AM, nice afternoon is a great day to go for no lines), the boys And I went to Six Flags Chicago. We went on a roller coaster that went upside down trying to get the perfect picture. So we went over and over and over with essentially no line. Guessing upwards of 10 rides in half an hour???
Anyhow, I had what I called roller coaster dementia for about a week. Scary shit.
At the risk of getting another “lolAfrica” from a deplorable…
More than 400,000 people a year die of the disease, and in Africa a child under five dies every two minutes.
“A lot more people will die in Africa this year from malaria than will die from Covid. I don’t mean twice as many, probably 10 times,” Hill said. The vaccine “is going to be available in very large amounts, it works pretty well. And it’s going to be very low priced.”
