I have zero plans on playing live poker.
I was actually pleasantly surprised with compliance in Asheville, NC. Pretty much all restaurants were take out only, although some had set up outdoor seating, but mask compliance was good. Charleston, on the other hand, was rough.
I drove by a couple fancy restaurants in Palm Beach Island last night and they were jam packed, lol. Bars shoulder to shoulder seating, etc.
We can only hope the payoff is similarly lame in our reality.
And her response to this was?
Live poker players are likely reaching an insular herd immunity soon.
It’s time to run one with no drop until like 11/10, one with no drop til like 12/10, and one with none until 1/21.
I know this is the wrong thread for it, but I thought my anger at television shows peaked with Lost. But the final season of GoT was exponentially worse.
I could rewatch (and have) the first season of GoT numerous times, but it’d take a good cash payment to make me rewatch season 8 of GoT. Season 7 too, probably.
Who should I listen to?
Mikelovesorgies?
Man, WAAF!
I cast your US minds back to Feb 2020 where you were contemplating whether US would be as bad as China or Italy. Europe is giving you 30 days notice that this shit is out of control, again!
Here are the main stories from around the world today:
- The US has reported more than 65,000 cases across the country on Thursday. It’s the most in a single day since July. The US is inching towards a total of eight million infections
- Belgium has announced it is closing all bars, cafes and restaurants for a month as cases rise in the country
- Italy confirmed 10,000 cases on Friday, the highest daily total ever recorded in the country
- People in the hospitality industry have protested against the closure of bars and restaurants in Barcelona. Under the new restrictions, bars and restaurants may only offer takeaway services or deliver orders until 30 October
- Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has announced that he will take a Covid-19 vaccine - if doctors approve the treatment
- France is introducing rapid Covid-19 tests at airports, according to the health minister. Jean-Baptiste Djebbari said the tests will be put in place by the end of October
How does Chiefsplanet feel about that?
It’s not just a hospital or two. 8 different hospitals are currently turning away ambulances.
As for CP, AP=fake news!
Most of them are pretty realistic since the main C19 thread is not in the politics subforum. One guy in rural MO has had his family just destroyed by this on his and his wife’s side.
But of course there are still a half-dozen morons from the DC forum posting an endless stream of covid minimizing BS. Not political though! Just some talking point about more deaths from quarantine suicide than covid that they saw on Hannity, or whatever the new point of the day is. I have most of them on ignore.
They hadn’t posted this article yet. I just posted it for them.
The COVID thread in the politics forum was like 20 threads down. I just posted the news. First reply is “More bullshit.”
I don’t trust any of these companies to put out a safe vaccine given how much money is at stake to the person who is first. Not going to be first in line to get any of these.
Yup. You’re not alone either. Two-thirds of the Czech population is opposed to getting a covid vaccine.
So either your or suzzer’s pony got lost on the way to CP
Fuck it all. So infuriating seeing this happen, again.
Hopefully after the election is over with a trump defeat and the winter brings spiking covid to the forefront we can finally get past the politics and get high compliance and be rational about handling this as a nation in 2021.
Though I know that’s not gonna be the case.
