COVID-19: Chapter 6 - ThanksGRAVING

That’s tough luck. Who could have possibly predicted it?

My favorite part is how my sacrifice and your sacrifice enables assholes like Mike to live their best life with a little less of a spike. That’s literally what we’re sacrificing for: assholes to go to football games and dine-in at Applebee’s and drink their faces off inside a bar.

The Trump presidency and this pandemic have turned me into a hateful person, and some scumbag like Mike will be along in no time to tell me I better work on that attitude because it’s not productive. Fuck. Them.

If you want me to stop hating assholes and scumbags, stop acting like assholes and scumbags and I’ll return to my cheery demeanor of yesteryear.

Czech Republic at what is essentially a lockdown without it being called a lockdown

Current R0 is 1.5. Although policies are until November 2nd, the real goal is to maintain them until the R0 is at 0.8 at which point they can be removed in an orderly fashion.

Basically, we’re not going back to in-person teaching until January. Even if we go back in December, it will be for like 2 weeks of class before winter break. What’s the point?

I’m desperately searching for a therapist. Got an appointment on November 2nd. Would rather have one on the 4th to be honest.

That’s a byproduct that vaccums. I do think everyone has a tipping point and you will start to see even more cross over to team irresponsible. There is just no end in sight in my opinion. Maybe I’m just the guy who takes the spot of a women in a lifeboat while the Titanic sinks.

Btw, thank you being an adult and seeing my side of this topic and flaming me or casting insults my way.

I guess I only partially disagree with you. I think it is a matter of degrees. My behavior has gotten more relaxed today vs. May. That is probably true for the vast majority here. Does that mean I am not still isolating mostly and avoiding large gatherings? No. I just have adjusted my behavior to have a semblance of a social life while still not doing high risk activities.

That being said, I do think what you are doing is well beyond what is responsible. I get to see the immense toll on my ICU nurse wife daily. I get to hear about her coworkers who are all doing poorly. Consider them. I’m not going to demand you do anything. But that is a very real cost of reckless behavior.

This isn’t an education issue. Mullen doesn’t give a shit about the pandemic. He cares about his job and #winning

You are playing poker to keep up a type of normal lifestyle your you.

I’m am going out to keep up a normal lifestyle for me.

Don’t bother rationalizing, it will fall on deaf ears. It’s not a lie IF U believe it.

I’m playing poker 2-3 days a month in a 7 handed game with mandatory masks in an N95 going outside to eat or drink, so that I can tread water financially.

You’re going to football games.

Fuck you. If people like you would take this seriously we could all be back to normal soon. Instead, we all get to sacrifice for freeloading scumbags like you who want to go be in crowds of thousands of people.

Fuck. You.
