COVID-19: Chapter 5 - BACK TO SCHOOL

Yes.

PBR = Professional Bull Riders - was literally referenced in the previous article I responded to in the post right above mine. Try to keep up old man.

And give him the coronavirus badge.

I have been tested 4 times. All asymptomatic. Booked online. Drive through. Process takes less than 15 min. Results in 12-36 hours.

I grew up in Michigan. PBR has a different meaning

I love PBR. It was my dad’s brand growing up. Absolutely destroys my insides though.

Jumping from around 1% to almost 6% is not great Bob.

I think it’s a bit tougher here right now as they are prioritizing teachers and school staff.

Always good to be careful about jumping to one day conclusions due to how batches are reported. I think some places are retesting positives as a matter of course.

Looks like the back to school mentality of the Czech Republic has already experienced setbacks as ten schools have delayed their opening a week due to covid19 infections among teachers.

Also had the highest percentage of positive tests in the last month on Saturday. It’s also the highest daily weekend total since the pandemic.

We’re catching up with ya America!

What’s all this stuff now about 40 cycles vs. 30 cycles vs. 5 cycles?

Question: Does having a beard increase my likelihood of getting covid-19?

It seems likely that it does but to what extent?

It reduces the efficacy of n95s, which you don’t need to be wearing to begin with. Big beards will hurt, but normal beards nah

I shaved my beard for the first time in 22 years a few months ago. I am so fucking ugly w/o it. I look like Mitch McConnell. Every time I went to the bathroom was like a bad acid trip looking in the mirror. Never again. I’ll just stay inside or risk death.

Yup. If I worked in a hospital and needed an n95, I’d 100% be clean shaven, probably to the point of shaving every day (I don’t usually sport much facial hair, but I can’t normally be arsed to shave more than every few days, less so nowadays). For average folks who just do like grocery runs in cloth or surgical masks and then stay the fuck at home, they can’t really be increasing their risk much with facial hair.
