AG Barr will be interested to know she repeatedly speaks out against fascism. I understand he equates antifa to terrorism groups, so he may want to keep an eye on her and her continued opposition to fascism. She could be a radical.
She chose to list her real email on the What Is Going On? page. I’m very happy only good faith actors will be sending her messages.
Yeah, I’m now noting that there is some confusion over whether these are FDA approved or not. Read through the Q & A before deciding.
My other option is continue cycling through about 15 P95’s that Ive been using since April.
FWIW, the ideal is somewhere between two and three grand per month per person, which is probably more than most servers make, definitely higher than their normal wages. I do kinda like how in some potential version of the idea, lots of people are still poor as fuck though.
And like also it was always possible for us to do a real lockdown with the bare minimum number of people ever leaving their homes, keeping the potential number of exposed people very low. But there was never any political will. I don’t even think a competent dem administration recommends that all grocery stores only use their curbside/delivery services that already existed.

Non Amazon site I should’ve used. Powecom is on the list for FDA Emergency use. Sounds like the next best thing to N95s.

My aunt went to her hair salon a month or two ago and told me afterwards that the owner/employee were just wearing face shields but no masks. She also had mentioned how they were complaining about BLM and protestors, so…I reported them to the state for COVID protocol violations (statewide mandatory mask mandate) because fuck them.
Today she told me that they were fully, properly masked and limited to one client there at a time (it’s a small space). I’m almost certain the state made them make changes, because these republican boomers never would have done so on their own.

We’re now over half a year into this plague and I think maybe 2% of the people wearing surgical masks understand what the metal strip is for and how to use it. God damn people are dumb.

I got woken up at 2am last night by construction workers across the road building scaffolding.
AITA if I report them for not wearing masks properly on site? (They aren’t. I.e. I’m not making this up)
Report them for working at 2am. That’s illegal in most of the US.
They had to block off a lane of a main road. I assume that’s why they were doing it.
My reasoning was pretty straightforward. Our state was crushed by COVID early on. With proper leadership and an extended closure of business things were brought to a controllable level. Part of that control is the mask mandate. If these people were risking extending the pandemic in my community by not following guidelines, I was going to report them. The fact that they are racist Republican boomers was just bonus.
Sounds like your bonus is that they woke you at 2am. Not as egregious since it’s work that had to be done and they needed to close the road. They probably got approval to work at night. But if they aren’t wearing masks then they are extending the pandemic in your community, and that’s not ok.
