Bad news for the million high club.
Being shocked at pissing in a cup is some white collar privilege. I mostly avoided it, but not being allowed to go to the bathroom where you work all day is a thing for some people.
If I were advising him I’d encourage him to cut a PSA with like John Kasich, Mitt Romney, Barack and Michelle Obama, George W. and Laura Bush, etc. That’s probably about the best you can do.
I mean, there’s pissing in a cup out of necessity due to working a blue collar job without bathroom access, and there’s pissing in a cup because you can’t take a 2 minute break from online poker. I’m not quite sure where pissing in a cup because you’re playing online poker in a Whole Foods parking lot during a pandemic falls on that scale, but probably closer to the other online poker example.

The tourney went all night. He won early in the morning as people were going to work. The store wasn’t open much of the time he was playing.
I think with low to medium population density, you can be pretty much open for business and still keep cases down assuming a start from a state of low infection prevalence.
In my NY county, stores are busy, people are getting their haircut, restaurants are open, etc. and we aren’t really seeing much appreciable growth 6-8 or so weeks in. People wearing masks and being generally not suicidal so this approach will not work everywhere ldo.
Listening to Sean Hannity on the radio, he’s very excited about the latest vaccine developments. There’s going to be a weird rift in the right-wing derposphere between guys like Hannity and the Ben Garrison anti-vax wing of the Republican party.

Give me 4 example counties (2 each for NY and PA) you’d like to check and I can see if that’s what it is.
New York County is mostly flat (slightly down) with continued high SDI as of last measurement period. They had been dropping roughly 200 cases or so per week from 6/12-7/2, but slowed to roughly 50 dropped from 7/3-7/9 (next measurement period is 7/10-7/16, which looks like it will either be a slight fall or small rise based on the first 5 days of data). Philadelphia County has been dropping roughly 55 cases per week since the week of 6/23-6/29 and their SDI is right on the line right now. It doesn’t look quite as good in cases as New York County and their next measurement period doesn’t complete until 7/20 (will be fortunate to get that this week, but might).
There might be some credence to your upstate New York issue, but I’d need to look into it. I’d probably want to do whatever county Pittsburgh’s in for Pennsylvania in addition to any you want me to look into.

What the hell are these idiots doing with schools? Like, assume they don’t care about killing children (safe assumption). Walk me through the strategy! It is an absolute lock a bunch of teachers will get it and they’ll have to close. That has a 100% probability of happening. This has to be the clearest example yet that they have no strategy.
