No, they’re not junk, but they can be difficult to interpret if you don’t know what you’re doing. If an antibody test says you’re negative, it’s very likely true. If it says you’re positive, chances could be as high as 50/50 that it’s a false positive, just because the fact that when you combine a low false positive rate with a low true presence of the disease, the tests that come up positive will capture ~all of the true positives (which are small in number) along with a bunch of false positives, which are small in number compared to tests administered but somewhat close to the number of true positives.

My wife just spoke to someone we know in the loop and according to her source at least Palm Beach County Florida is looking to shut everything back down to essential services only.
I haven’t seen the information corroborated anywhere else but I trust the person she received the information from.

I had to get tested before my company opened back up. Went to a drive-thru place with mouth swab (not sure if this is the same as throat swab). I had to cough deeply five times then swab my mouth and tongue.
That test got lost so I went to a different place with a self-administered nose swab. I was told to insert the swab until I felt “pressure,” then swirl it around for 10 seconds and repeat on the other side. I wanted to be thorough, but also wanted an accurate test, so tried to follow instructions, but obviously I was also being as gentle on myself as possible. My nasal passages still hurt the next day, and even a week later if I take a deep breath I get phantom pain on one side. I can’t imagine letting someone else jam the swab up my nose.
Naturally, the lost test was found (negative) and I still haven’t received the results of the nasal swab.

Not sure of the company that lost my test.
My company told me to go to a local testing place that had walk-up testing available. When I arrived there were signs saying ‘appointment only’ but there were only two cars in line so I went in. They told me “No problem, just pull over and register now. Use any date and testing facility, just to get you in the system, then when they email you the confirmation code pull over here and you’ll get tested.” I think they were looking for my test from the batches that came from whatever facility I registered at, which I didn’t even know because I was told it didn’t matter. I contacted their support line and asked them to look at the correct center and date but they still couldn’t find it, so I scheduled another test. I think the day after my second test they found the first results.
ETA: Probably a dozen people from my company used that same center and registration method, and their tests were not lost.

Gyms, indoor malls, churches, non-essential offices, personal care (nails, hair, etc) all shutdown in my town. Also a fine for no mask with some exceptions.
