COVID-19: Chapter 5 - BACK TO SCHOOL

Yeah like I said trump lovers won’t give a shit regardless. There has been other posts of them having family members dying and they still deny reality. They’re legit fully brainwashed.

But there are tons of non trump lovers out there also not taking this seriously who basically decided 1k olds dying a day isn’t enough to keep them from going out. 5k dead a day might. Like the educated liberals Cuse has mentioned, I think people like that might change their tune when this gets super bad.

Thanks @goofyballer and @nunnehi. So it’s just the covid whack-a-mole game between states except lol Florida and maybe a ping pong game between SoCal and NoCal.

It would be interesting to note from such high numbers if it takes being seriously below SDI to get an actual decrease. How low did NY NJ get when they were crushing?

R really needs to get down to .8 or something otherwise it’s just a long slow decline or plateau.

I go to restaurants to eat food that is too much of a pain in the ass to make to cook in small batches. The kind of meals that used to be prepared for holidays by many people for a whole community. Food that takes longer than 30 minutes of active involvement from the cook.

And food that I can’t prepare because I lack the skill of course. I’m embarrassed to say that I’ve given up on sushi. The combination of the preparation having a lot of potential ways to fail and the difficulty of sourcing good ingredients… I’m just going to eat it at restaurants forever.

Wetherspoons pubs are a Brexit paradise for taxi drivers. Hope you left and went to the much better pub around the corner.

Nothing particularly new here, but Drew really captures my frustration and anger as a parent faced with this decision.

So much for bragging about how well Alberta is doing. We had 350 cases this weekend taking us back over 1,000. Our positive rate climbed to almost 2%. The biggest rise is among young people.

Ugg!

Been saying it for months. They gonna give out another round of Donny Dollars to buy votes.

I wonder what the odds are they base it all on the exact same criteria as the first round.

Boy, I hope they don’t lose control of the virus.

I want to laugh at this, but I feel bad in so doing, because his incompetence is devastating thousands across Florida.

That’s my hope. Wife and I extended 2019 taxes so we can use 2018 numbers for more $$$

It’s just fucking bonkers that this one guy has complete control over covid relief for the whole country. That’s not how our government is supposed to work, yet here we are.

And not only that, but just 1.4% of the country even gets to vote for or against this guy. Goddammit the senate is such an awful institution.

Obviously agree, but it is needed. I suppose it’s possible for what’s right to overlap at least a little bit with a policy position of the modern republican party.

It’s like watching a maniac run over a table full of nits waiting for AA who fold KK to 3bets. Then when they get AA they get so excited they fumble their cards and expose their hand. It’s insanely frustrating.

Yet schools are still scheduled to open all across the state in less than 2 weeks

They also just announced high school football will start as scheduled. That has to be a priority obviously.

What was the positive percent in Florida today? Seems odd that cases are suddenly trending down
