COVID-19: Chapter 4 - OPEN FOR BUSINESS

I don’t think decently maintained public bathrooms are that high risk. Wear a mask. Wash your hands.

I’d suggest a disposable mask or if cloth stick that one in a bag until you can wash it.

As far as the house—
Hang out outside. Maybe try to time the bathroom so one person isn’t in there right after another. Keep the fan on 100%.

If you end up in the kitchen and living room together wear masks depending on How you each honestly feel about your own exposure over the last 10-14 days. When in doubt put on the masks.

Stay out of the guest room so they can have their own clean breathing space.

I’d even use a fan to create a crosswind outside if the air is still. Otherwise arrange your seating crossways to the natural breeze.

IMO, a hug with masks is acceptable. If anyone is uncomfortable but needs the hug then literally throw a sheet over (but not a white one with a pointy top).

Enjoy. I’d give just about anything to wrap up my Dad, one of my kids, or the grandsons right now.

Pretty genius of trump to use the pandemic to rob the Chiners blind by having tariffs paid by Americans.

Hold it and use a Gatorade bottle or portable urinal for #1. Hopefully that’s sufficient for four hours.

Cleaning the surfaces in a restroom does not mean clean air.

“Umm… maybe we are over counting, guess we will see.”

It’s weird that experts say we are drastically undercounting. Hmmm. Who to trust? Propagandists from the administration or statisticians and epidemiologists?

The one thing about the new right that I can’t wrap my head around. Why do they treat experts with such disdain? I don’t think climate change and pandemics are partisan issues in Europe?

Sometimes you just have to pack it.

Experts in every single field, save some in economics, do not support a single right-wing policy. Also, governments have and continue to use “experts” to lie. Most people are not capable of discerning an expert from a charlatan. It’s not easy without knowledge of the field and somewhat unusual abilities to read and reason.

People can’t sort this out but they sure know that experts tell them stuff they don’t want to hear a lot.

I now have 3 friends who have tested positive. All 3 know each other. None of them want to really go public and have everyone know. But they’re confiding in me. Argh.

#1 got it on the day of shopping and I mentioned it in this thread. #2 may have gotten it from her BF and has been having major intestinal issues for over a month. She had cancer like 15 years ago so I am worried about her.

#3 works in a nursing home with active cases so it was probably just a matter of time. She’s isolating from her husband and kids right now. Her husband, who works in a different nursing home, is having diarrhea, but he gets that a lot when he’s stressed. He gets tested every Thursday automatically. They don’t know this week’s result yet.

Oh yeah, #1 and #2 had a falling out. #1 hates #2. #2 wishes they could make up but has correctly given up. Everyone likes #3, but #3 isn’t sure about #2 anymore either - who’s pretty flaky and has a tendency to get drunk and grind on people’s husbands at parties. But she means well.

I think there’s a very high likelihood a vaccine is publicly available in USA#1 before the end of the year, IMO before the election… but the likelihood that it’s properly tested through Phase 3 (which is already accelerated) is very very low. I mean, it’s basically impossible. We may also have significantly improved testing/treatment by then.

The good news is, the less seriously we take the virus the better the economy is… So I don’t think we’re looking at a totally ruined economy in six months, I do think we’re looking at 500K+ dead, and a contested election and complete political crisis.

Pretty sure he’s already been debunked, having been wrong a few times already about this. He keeps updating his predictions and sooner or later the sun shines on his ass for a few minutes and he wiggles it around and says “NOT EXPONENTIAL!!!”

But really he’s just showing us his bare ass and being a fool.

Wow. You have more interesting friends than me.

Some games would break mighty quick in casinos I’ve played in lol… There are at least four or five dealers in every casino who most of us can barely tolerate for 30 minutes.

Right, Wawa is basically like a much nicer 7-11 that now sells gas.

The death toll is “anecdotal” lolllll amazing. We’re so fucked cause a lot of people are in lock step with wirelessbro on this. Probably 15-25% of the population is just beyond reasoning with.

ETA: if anyone she exposed becomes symptomatic

Absolutely the case. I know of games that would all get up for 30 mins when a particular dealer pushed in.

Also adds in a ton of variance for the dealers. Not to start a tip derail, but I’ve dealt 25/50 PLO games where each hand takes several minutes, and you get stiffed when you push a $36k pot that took ten minutes. I’d love to get stuck at a good low limit nlhe or one of the mid-high limit games for an entire shift though lol.

The hand sanitizer for a button is a great idea. Unfortunately I dont see live poker coming back to where it was pre-covid for a long time though.

I was giving him alot of shit about the new study on Hydroxy, and he of course was like but all these doctors and shit say its great, im like yea anecdotal, show me a clinical study that shows its good, he of course couldn’t. So what he was saying here is he still believes the death toll is bullshit and doctors everywhere are being pressured to mark deaths covid. Then he was trying to be sarcastic and say ithe storeies about overcounting/pressuring are anecdotal though so we can’t trust em. facepalm gif
