Okboomer
It’s all about finding the restaurants that are taking it serious and rotating through them. My wife and I have 3 small shops in the neighborhood that are handling this like champs. Outside pickup only, masks only, reheat instructions ect…
That they don’t call it Pennsyltucky for no reason?
In addition to Jacksonville’s poker room reopening today, Palm Beach Kennel Club also reopened its facility including its poker room. There’s a laundry list of changes. Some of the interesting ones include.
- Games will be played with a designated number of players to be determined by management
- Players will not be granted table transfers. The table you are seated will be your table for the duration of the day
- Dealers will not rotate from table to table. Dealers will be assigned to one table only
- Chips will be isolated to a specific table. Once chips have been introduced to a game, they can only exit in the following manners: Drop Boxes, Dealer tip boxes, Cashed out at the cashier
- Paper cards will be utilized and discarded at regular intervals
- Eating food at the tables will be prohibited
- Hand sanitizer will be used in lieu of a dealer button. When a player has the sanitizer, they are encouraged to use it
They should just keep this post-pandemic.
MN is pretty much holding steady over the past 3-4 weeks from what I can see. They’ve doubled testing capacity and haven’t really seen an increase in cases, hovering around 600 per day
Good news!

Lockdowns and social-distancing measures aimed at slowing the spread of coronavirus seem to have shortened the influenza season in the northern hemisphere by about six weeks.
Globally, an estimated 290,000–650,000 people typically die from seasonal flu, so a shorter flu season could mean tens of thousands of lives are spared.
Not-so-good news!
Other communicable diseases, such as tuberculosis, are more likely to see an upswing, because programmes to fight the disease have been derailed by the pandemic. The international organization the Stop TB Partnership released a report in May estimating that a 3-month lockdown and a 10-month period of recovery would cause an additional 1.37 million deaths globally during the next 5 years.
I just wanted to clown on her at first but clearly she needs help. It is unfortunate the fourth rate youtube conspiracy propaganda seems to draw them like moths to a flame.
But it is ultimately dangerous to go around aggressively yelling crazy things at people.
PBKC is weird because it’s one of the biggest poker rooms that is not on either Bravo or PokerAtlas. (Same goes for Jacksonville.) There’s no way to have an idea of how busy it is without actually going there. The last time I was there, I think I recall them having problems with their AC system. A lot of Florida poker rooms are in run-down building because they haven’t been doing more than minimal maintenance in anticipation of moving to a smaller building when greyhound racing becomes illegal.
I like a lot of those rules, but I wonder how the no table transfers thing works. If I want to play 2/5, does this mean that I can’t play 1/3 while waiting for a seat to open up?
I notice on Bravo that Oxford Downs is open and running 18 tables at mid-day (about half are poker and half are table games.) SHRT has 17 poker games at the same time. I’ve never been to Oxford Downs, but it is right by The Villages. I might have to stop there on my next Florida poker trip just to see what the Village people are like.
Oxford Downs is requiring players and employees to sign a liability waiver. They are also bragging about their new HEPA air filtration system.
Jfc Boomer, did nobody teach you how to use quotation marks in the stone age?

Welp, dont see how this can cause any problems
I played there a lot back in the day (before this happened) but I think its too early to go back. The ventilation in the tournament area has been really bad for a while. It comes and goes in the cash game area. They’re supposed to be moving to a new poker facility since dog racing is going to shut down relatively soon, but I don’t know where that stands now in light of the pandemic.
Actually I am GenX by 14 days.
They have Sheetz in Pennsyltuckey. Wawa is where there is civilization.
We laughed when we moved here. Now we are addicted.
Did he ever admit that we finally cracked 30k deaths or is he just pretending that while conversation never happened
Can kids still hug Cinderella???
Just talked to my sister. A coworker of my BIL and his wife both died from CV-19 last week within 5 days of each other. Both around 50-ish y/o.
Wawa was voted best chain sandwhich shop in the country a couple years ago. It’s certainly not gas station food. Was a dairy store and then sandwhich place long before they sold gas. But yes, it’s mostly comfort food for philly people.
Worldometers shows 805 today and then i used the google data/graphs which actually does show 818 on May 5th which I missed.
