If their mRNA strategy can be applied to other viruses (and it almost surely will), these two could be responsible for saving millions of lives. Humanity could conceivably stop the common cold if we really were serious about it. I assume theyâll be harassed by Qanon dipshits for the rest of their lives.

My understanding is that it thereâs a possibility of it be applied to when the body doesnât make a needed protein or when the immune system inadvertently attacks something it shouldnât so in addition to external threats they could cure other kinds of diseases
