Just logged into my credit union. Itā€™s a small, local outfit. This is > 60% of their locations.

Well at least this one was straightforward. 24 hour ban.

But broadly. Yes. Letā€™s take this to about moderation if you want to discuss further.

Thatā€™s just crazy talk.

Second one makes a lot more sense to me.

Canā€™t imagine what itā€™s like to be a parent even during normal times. COVID-era must be uncredibly frustrating.

GL to all of you with kiddos.

Oh god, someone killed NorthernLion

But i was assured here within the last week that Clarence Thomas was a genius and not at all a product of the desires of the rich in this country.

Seems like a tautology.

Thatā€™s not exactly what you were assured of. It was mainly that he wasnā€™t a failson.

Are you planning on sending your kids to school once you and they are fully vaccinated? It certainly makes sense for you to keep your kids out of school if they are a short way out from being vaccinated, but you donā€™t need to close schools to do that. Where I live, most kids have either been vaccinated for a while or arenā€™t likely to get vaccinated any time soon.

My son tested positive for COVID yesterday. He was unusually sleepy in the afternoon and had a 102 fever in the evening, so we gave him a rapid test, and it very quickly showed a clear positive. Not sure how he got it. The only time heā€™s left our apartment in the past two weeks was to get vaccinated about a week ago, so possibly he got exposed then. I guess itā€™s also possible that my wife or I brought it home, although she had a negative PCR test on Thursday, and I had a negative PCR test a week ago. Since that time, weā€™ve only had minimal exposure, like walking through the lobby of our building with a mask on. Luckily he seems to be doing fine so far. Will be talking to he pediatrician on zoom shortly.

The rest of the family all tested negative on rapid tests last night, so hopefully our vaccines will hold up.

The director of my kidsā€™ daycare center emailed us last night that she was feeling sick Monday but came into work anyway and totes spent all her time in her office (which Iā€™m sure has a totally isolated ventilation system from the rest of the building, and she teleports in there rather than walking through the same halls the kids walk through). Then she WFH Tuesday and Wednesday, then back in the office Thursday and Friday, then tested positive (hopefully Friday evening I guess), and told us about it Friday night. So, guess itā€™s good I got some of those tests from Roman.

Iā€™d guess itā€™s more likely that one of you had a asymptomatic case? A week seems like a long time to show symptoms?!

Doctors?

No blame or shame in that. This thing is everywhere.
