I remain really curious whether endemic coronaviruses circulate twice a year or not. Itās theoretically possible that they do, but higher vitamin D levels and stronger immune systems make them asymptomatic infections in the spring/summer.
This seems like a huge thing to figure out as we see where covid-19 is headed, and experience new surges.
Getting it to a point of once a year seasonality is huge for annual boosting.

Yeah I considered it, but Iām just not pulling the mask down to drink instead. I took too much time off dodging Omicron and frankly canāt afford to not get my hours in. This is America, after all.
Iām wearing a full N95 though, not even a KN, and itās a 3M not a cheaper brand.

China cases are continuing to spike despite locking down all of Shanghai. 7DMA has tripled over the last week, to around 18k. Weirdly, they donāt seem to be reporting any deaths at all from this wave, which seemsā¦ odd.
Chinaās numbers have never made any sense.
From the side effects anecdote department: my 90yo dad just got his 2nd booster this week, and itās the first time he had any side effects whatsoever, achy and fatigued for about 24 hours. All 4 shots were Pfizer.
Iām 50 and eligible to get my 4th shot next month, and similarly have felt nothing from my previous 3, so Iām curious to see what happens.
Iām 49 and itās been six months since my third shot. 4th shot now or nah?

Iād say itās pretty close to not at all, but not quite not at all.
If you are completely forthright and donāt omit any details of your medical and vaccination history on online or in person questionnaires, there is a decent chance that you will be turned away if you donāt meet criteria. Even then itās not a lock, though.
So they may enforce based on what you tell them, but they donāt really check what you tell them.
