I think 101.5 puts you out of the normal range for Covid fever. I thought 100.4-101.4 was fairly normal
Unless you’re putting the thermometer in your butt it’s not that accurate.
Totally typical for Covid, but typical for a lot of things too.
No kink shaming
Oster is like a contrarianbro only for pediatric medical advice instead of politics takes.
No matter how much we point and laugh or roll our eyes at Oster, the fact remains that we are fringe nutjob COVID hawks and she’s widely accepted in the mainstream as a COVID expert who makes a lot of sense to the average person.
I’m not really sure what my point is, WAAF or something I guess.
Yeah oster had a lot of supporters here in this thread for a long time in the great school wars of summer 2021
Yup and my normie liberal buddy IRL laughs at me when I drag her. “Dude, they publish her in The Atlantic.”
Let me guess. They’re yuuuuge Malcolm Gladwell fans.
Yup definitely.
Czech Republic COVID wave starting to come back.
Not good but expected. Tends to happen when you remove nearly all restrictions
What precisely is the edgy contrarianism? The FDA’s official position is that the risks and benefits of vaccinating 4 year olds are less favorable than for older folks, to the point where it’s not even approved.
COVID seems to be kicking off in China, which is probably going to be extremely bad:
“I think we are going to have to accept that vaccination rates in little kids are going to be lower than vaccination rates in adults, and that’s probably ok from the standpoint of the virus.”
Yah, I think the virus is going to be AOK with that, tbh.
Betting it’s just the low dosing.
Huh if you could keep great control measures early combined with high adoption of effective vaccines, you might save a shit ton of lives.
YOLO wo high vax rates is called human sacrifice.
This is going to suck… again.

There’s gotta be a breaking point.
Applications to be an EM doctor took a massive nosedive this year. Had a huge number of unfilled spots which just doesn’t happen. The pandemic is a big part of why (but not all)
No more mask mandate in Ontario starting today.
Starting Monday, the province will stop enforcing masking rules in most indoor settings — including schools, restaurants, gyms and stores. Individuals and business owners will be able to choose whether or not they will still require masking.
Mandates will still remain in place for a period of time for public transit, long-term care and retirement homes, shelters, jails and congregate care and living settings.
