What do you got to lose?

You’re right. Planes were always boarded like this until they started gauging people by charging extra to board by paid sections instead of sets number.

This article really needs to be reposted more - twice a day for a week isn’t enough.

neither of which is the most efficient method in which to board a plane.

This is my issue with a lot of fretting about reopening schools. Most K-12 (non year around) schooling is almost done for the year.

It would take a massive effort and use of resources to reopen a school for a couple of weeks. The cost alone makes it virtually impossible.

That is super shady. But why would one expect anything less from Trump’s new home state.

Re positives after negatives

Are they any reports of these resulting in serious illness?

Most Brits are a mixture of those you’ve mentioned, so I don’t think genetics plays a part.

10k dead thank you Cuomo so glad to have a real leader

And it really got out of control after they started charging for checked baggage. They went from 2 free checked to 1 free checked to 0 free checked and created a demand for the overhead storage, which ramped up the demand to board earlier.

The entire process of flying sucks so bad now.

Anyone hear anything about a bunch of S. Koreans retesting positive because maybe they were re-infected, or the virus re-activated, or the tests just suck, or we really don’t know what the hell is going on but let’s throw a scary headline on it anyway?

It’s been 5 minutes and I need to know.

Thank God we’re bailing them out.

Trip report: I took the antibody test today at ARCPoint labs in Irvine. Results come back in 10 minutes. I was negative.

Although false negatives are possible - this puts to bed my curiosity that the weird 3-4 week dry cough thing I had was some kind of corona cousin or weak strain.

The place seemed pretty busy and not insanely professional. Looks like they do drug testing, DNA testing, that kind of thing. There was a poster on the wall to get your kid DNA tested so you could soak your wife in the divorce settlement. There were a few people around - most of us waited out in the hallway. Everyone had masks.

The test test came in this package:

The assistant took a drop of blood off my fingertip with a pipette, which I guess is plastic because then she squeezed the blood out onto the test apparatus - which looks like a home pregnancy test or something. This could easily be done at home with proper instructions.

No real questionnaire - they weren’t curious if I thought I had it or not - just that I wasn’t symptomatic right now. Although that was never asked it was just on the form. Taking my $85 seemed the first priority.

Schools are not officially closed nationwide here although there are state closures and many schools are voluntarily closed. Our expert advice is that schools are not a problem because children are such poor vectors for COVID spread.

Oi!

That assumes widespread, effective testing was in place in Feb/Mar to identify original cases.

Probably one of the few states with an even remotely accurate death figure. Other states will see a big rise in a mysterious pneumonia-related illness, but at least corona #s will be low!

You still can’t get a test in my part of the state unless you are either:

  1. Admitted to the hospital;
  2. Exposed to a “known” case and symptomatic; or
  3. LOL have travelled to china, Italy, etc. in the last 14 days…
