A lot higher percentage than that if those pictures of crowded lines at the airports posted here earlier today are any indication of what’s going on.
My birthday is gonna be LIT this year.
They’re historic and unprecedented assholes.
Shit I’m constipated
Drink!!!
Convo I just had with my boomer Dad:
Dad: Hey. Just wanted to check in and see how you’re doing with this whole virus situation.
Me: I’m doing ok. I still have to go to work b/c they haven’t set up work from home, but I’ve basically been just getting up, walking to work, putting in my hours and then heading home. Just trying to stay calm and be prepared. How are you and [stepmom].
Dad: We’re doing well. Avoiding crowds, went to the store to make sure we have all the essentials just in case.
Me: Good. Glad to hear it.
Dad: Well, I should go, need to get ready for the potluck [a monthly dinner with about 20 people, all over 60, many of whom work in the medical field as nurses, receptionists, etc.]
Me: ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!
It’s infuriating to hear Pence congratulate himself and Trump on closing off travel from Europe and saying that if they didn’t “we’d be like Europe now.” Yeah, we’re going to be like Europe in about 10-14 days just because we’re behind on the timeline. What’s your line then?
Some places with drive through testing require appointments.
Well Europe will be even worse than now so USA #1 will be ahead- we might have 1,000 dead but it’s not 10,000 like those euros.
It’s certainly not a top down conspiracy with no chance of ultimately helping Trump politically. That simply doesn’t make any sense at all. You’re not going to convince me of that, you should stop trying.
This is the generation that loses their minds if their flight is delayed due to weather. They’ve literally never had to face not being able to do whatever you want to do for more than a few days.
TBF neither has the younger generations. But we haven’t been encrusted that way for so long we can’t comprehend what’s happening.
By that logic Africa must have done a better job then the US?
To be completely honest, this is why I didn’t go out and get a gun last week, too. I don’t think I’d ever kill myself, but it’s hard to comprehend how much this will depress me over the coming weeks. Now I’m thinking I should have gotten a shotgun, no way I could bring myself to use that on myself, still effective for home defense.
Or I get in a shoot out with some idiot who just wants to rob some of my food or cash.
You heard it here, folks, no American should worry about missing a pay check for staying home sick.
In other news, my aunt and uncle who are old and he’s just had heart surgery, both have a head cold and got tested. Both very liberal. What’d they do after the test?
Flew down to Charlotte to see his brother, who has unrelated medical problems and is in bad shape. Apparently the flight back was only $39, “Not to [sic] shabby!”
Sigh, we’re so fucked. He said they both feel pretty good now and think it’ll be fine. I hope so, but then they also have to fade catching it on two flights and trips through the airport.
Right, don’t worry about it. Stay home, and it’ll all be fine later (you’l pay that debt off eventually!).
Hmm… I’ve maybe bought it once in my life, but now I’ll miss it. Maybe. It’s weird to put chocolate on toast anyway. Delicious, but weird. And, oh yeah, lots of slavery in chocolate as well.
Thread got super dark and paranoid real fast. Ease up, yo.
