Honestly, I keep thinking that we as a species should be freaking out about seasonal flu more. Like, the handwashing and social distance thing should become normalized.

Yeah he didn’t go to a pari-mutuel place or something and on the back in fine print it had a cap on winnings, Total bullshit.
I’m ok with renodoc. His politics sucked and he was stubborn about admitting obvious fallacies. But he never got testy and I feel like he probably always did the right thing for his patients (at the personal level).
Also he was on the wrong end of the greatest moment in WSOP history.

Why? Like half a million people got hospitalized last year and 60k people died from the regular flu last year. We should be more proactive about that shit.
There’s a little waiting room but almost nobody in it. We’re all standing outside 7 feet away from each other.

Everyone in the US should stand 6’ apart from each other at all times? If this is a contest to see how drastic we can get to keep people safe and alive for as long as possible no matter what, it’s going to mess up a lot of regular life and everyone, especially 85 year olds, is still going to die.

This particular thread is getting buggy for me. Anyone else having problems? Is it because we’re getting close to 10K.
So when no one’s traveled and everyone tested is in the hospital for weeks, no one can get tested. Smart.
Played poker last night. In for 600, out for 2985. The 24-hour grocery I normally shop at on the way home was closed for restocking. I think people where I live are starting to take it seriously.
I feel better knowing there are people who understand what is going on, that people are taking adequate precautions and not saying it’s just the flu. I worry about one of my favorite dealers who admitted living paycheck to paycheck and not being able to afford stocking up on food for the family. She EOed before I could tip her extra.
It was emotionally uplifting to be with people who were making fun of Trump. Usually, any political discussion is driven by deplorables, but we had the right mix of people who don’t respect him.

I read “waiting room,” I think hospital. My friend’s wife calls it the cry room. Nobody wants to be in there.
