- chance of scientist getting something wrong and being amplified by clickbaity media
- chance of virus making the jump to humans in exactly the same way as SARS and MERS
- chance of weird conspiracy to create a virus that acts exactly like all the other coronavirus and flu type viruses but uses random HIV sequences for no good reason
