And they’re all named Pizza House.
It’s a style that I have a certain fondness for and sometimes even crave, but it is objectively not very good pizza.

Looks good. Did you spatchcock that sucker?
Yep
Until someone starts a “Eating Good Food You Didn’t Cook” thread, I’m going to treat this as the general food thread.
Went to the grocery today. Saw a table labeled “Easter treats”. On that table were loaves of challah.
Crust came out great, exceeded expectations. I used this: Best Crispy Cheesy Pan Pizza Recipe - How to Make Homemade Pizza
I was worried I had used too much oil when I prepped the dough for its final proofing, but it didn’t turn out oily or greasy at all. Those crusty caramelized bits around the edges were amazing.
Growing up my polish grandma cooked Easter dinner and laid it all out presentation style on Saturday so the priest could come to the house and bless it. Then she’d wrap it all up and on Sunday we’d have leftovers essentially. Don’t miss that one bit.
It was nice of him to bless it on the Jewish Sabbath.
Maybe I’m missing something but not sure why the priest would care about doing something on the Jewish sabbath. Grandma was catholic.

The blessing of food on Holy Saturday is a Polish tradition.
Never did anything special for Easter dinner. Think I’ll probably make stir fry beef w/ broccoli again, I’ve been getting pretty good at making that lately.
Hahaha. Thanks all.
Alls I knew growing up was that I ate leftovers on Easter and it was awful. As a polish/Irish New Englander our food was pretty not good.

Have you ever seen any of these videos? They’re pretty awesome.

Did you at least get paczi before Lent?
Well that’s just silly.
My favorite sausage was the Mett that was sold at Riverfront Stadium in the late 80s.
Germans do know how to stuff tasty meat and spices into casings.
I’m always going to eat a great kielbasa. But my childhood memories of it is the gray, cold kind of kielbasa.
Also, she made “polish pancakes” which I didn’t learn til much later in life were just poorly done latkes.
