what did you eat growing up?
i can’t eat mushrooms, but i respect foragers’ dedication. chanterelles are hard to find in places with lots of hikers. boletes are apparently very sought after all along the west coast. every year we cover a part of our land with wood chips, and the next spring morels are abound. rusellas get looked over by everyone here, but they are probably bottom rung for everyone. if you are adventurous amanitas can be foud virtually anytime, but hopefully people are safe trying psychedelics, seems very risky and does not sound like a happy time.
