Cooking Good Food - Ramens of the day

I have a barky killer of my own that I now have to walk 5 times a day instead of just letting out in the yard.

Haha, never made it to the post after Bubba Fett (greatest weed name of recent memory) assassinated my arse.

Gluten Free Chicken and cheese enchiladas (made with arrowroot tortillas).

My brother sent me this jar for my birthday, apparently he and my sister in law are addicted to this stuff. No idea how it stacks up against the cult favorite Lao Gan Ma chili crisp, which has a spot on my local Asian supermarket shelf that’s been empty for weeks, but I finally tried it and it’s pretty tasty. Been eating a lot of harissa too lately. Bring on the spicy pastes!

Superstore has LGM chili now! Found a case for $3 each. Sriracha is so 2014.

That stuff is the nectar of the gods!

Sriracha and chili crisp have different purposes, one is oily and one is acidic.

This is all my wife’s work. Arepas with refried beans, cheese, a corn/pepper slaw, and both sweet and savory plantains.

Looks great, seriously right up my alley

Sriracha is the second most overrated food of the last decade!

Agree. So many better hot sauces, and it’s not even close. One of my favorites is still what I had in Belize. Marie Sharps - unreal flavor.

Huy Fong’s best product has always been their chili garlic sauce. Never understood why sriracha caught on but it didn’t.

In all seriousness, I actually don’t love sriracha either. For what it is, it’s fairly generic and one dimensional.

I wish I never made this user name. Life comes at you fast.

I can change your user name to ChiliGarlicSauce. You wouldn’t even need to swicth avatars.

Should I know what the first one is? I like sriracha just fine but never got super into it. I was really high on a local hot sauce here but I think the quality has subtly changed so it’s not as good anymore. It’s also been harder to get, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were winding down production, maybe they’re even closed now.
