Inb4 theme is convicts and the entire republican cohort dresses up in orange jumpsuits and there is a 200 person line to get free Trump 2024 face tattoos.
So Trump is free until his last appeal is exhausted, right?
Shoulda testified Don.
Couldn’t have gone any worse.
All the pundits saying less than 10% probability of anything other than probation and/or fine even if he wasn’t Trump because it’s non violent first time offence.
Uh, can they not weigh the impeachments and language and future threats? I think they’re very wrong that he’s going to be treated as a first time offender. It might be a light sentence (days) with a tonnnnnn of community service, but I think he won’t be treated as a first time offender.
Just realize, the judge who will impose the sentence hates Trump, and sentences are rarely appealable.
TV person said they could make him serve his sentence on weekends
But what if he wants weekdays?
How do you feel about your dream now?
“This is a definitive and this is an irreversible verdict. He can appeal. I’m sure he will appeal. But this is everything that the prosecution asked for, from a jury that by all counts took this thing very, very seriously,” announced MSNBC host Rachel Maddow. “We counted the deliberation hours down here. The test here for us, as a country, is not about what happens on appeal. And is not about what happens on sentencing.
“The test for us now as a country is whether or not this former president and his allies will have succeeded in trying to undermine the rule of law so that people reject this as a legitimate function of the rule of law in our country. They have tried to delegitimize this judge. They have tried to delegitimize the court and delegitimize the laws that he’s charged under,” she added. “The people involved in bringing this case have been threatened and intimidated and have everything brought to bear against them in a way that was designed to delegitimize the process of the American people.”
I’d like to be the first to congratulate America’s first convicted felon President.
