I am pleased.
OSU was not some juggernaut this year. They played such an incredibly shit schedule (not their fault, penn state sucked and Texas was only OK this year). They got a lot of credit for a win against #1 Texas, but they scraped by them and we found out how bad they were after. Their best win after that was either against Michigan or Illinois, both of which are not even close to an elite team.
OSU defense is really good
Sayin has sucked all year.
Meh, hard to repeat as national champions but would have been nice to make it through another round. Miami was the better team tonight and definitely the better-coached team.
Five sacks for -42 yards lmfao. Thatâs a coaching issue. Dude has never heard of stepping up in the pocket, always drops his eyes, gets happy feet, just totally shook under pressure.
Ohio St. played a joke of a schedule and it showed at the end of the year.
Entire season felt like Foolâs Gold.
Hartlineâs pretty damn identical to Day if youâve watched them much this year. Neither are good play callers
When the line canât block a 3 man rush, itâs going to be a long day for the QB. Sayin played fine, minus one play.
Day might make a good GM or something, but heâs not a good in game coach.
He was horrible, dawg. At least a dozen plays were total disasters on his part.
Not arguing that point but CANES have a great defense. Those guys put pressure on almost every play and were making nasty hits all game. Fun to watch.
Itâs all scheme. Miami is elite at EDGE and pretty good in coverage outside the hashes. They were soft on the inside gaps and basically conceding the middle of the field. Only a complete idiot would draw up a game plan based on stretch plays and slow-developing route concepts with min protection without chipping the #1 EDGE in the class. The same kind of idiot who would try to run inside repeatedly against a team who had an NFL caliber defensive line and no other players.
Tell me if this is the game you just watched:
| Team | Total Yds | YPP | 1st downs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crystalball U | 291 | 4.62 | 18 |
| Cryinâ State | 332 | 5.63 | 18 |
A ton of Miamiâs win equity came from that laugh track pick-6. I doubt they win without that even though they âdominatedâ large stretches of the game it seemed.
Checking in on the B1G slappies
I guess O$U should have declined the playoff bid and gone to the weedeater bowl and played north Texas instead, powerful lesson tonight.
They had one bad pick 6 and missed a FG ÂŻ_(ă)_/ÂŻ
Agreed, I grew up in Columbus and I can assure you that most folks there will be taking this loss with dignity and aplomb.

Pics or it didnât happen
People talk about how the rust from the bye is a large contributor to the losses the top seeds have piled up, but I really think the biggest thing is that there just isnât a huge difference from 1-10. This isnât the basketball tourney where the top seeds completely outclass their competition in the first round.
It wasnât Ohio State versus Louisiana Monroe. It was Ohio State versus Miami. The #1 seed Indiana isnât getting Pacific. They are getting Bama.
Texas Tech walking out with their big money guy in a cowboy hat up front. College football baby!
