Will have to try that next time.

Hey look, I wrote an article for a pop culture website

“Please write a 1500 word essay on why Better Call Saul is better than Breaking Bad”

Since its premiere in 2015, Better Call Saul has garnered widespread critical acclaim and a loyal fan following. Although the show was initially perceived as a spin-off of the wildly popular Breaking Bad, it has quickly established itself as a critically acclaimed and distinctive work in its own right. While Breaking Bad was undoubtedly a groundbreaking and innovative series, there are several reasons why Better Call Saul may be even better than its predecessor.

One of the most significant ways that Better Call Saul outshines Breaking Bad is through its characterization. While Breaking Bad had a compelling protagonist in Walter White, the show often relied on his larger-than-life personality to carry the narrative. In contrast, Better Call Saul is a more character-driven show, with nuanced and complex characters that are fully fleshed out and multifaceted.

At the center of Better Call Saul is the character of Jimmy McGill, who would later become the corrupt lawyer Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad. Jimmy is a complex character who is simultaneously sympathetic and flawed, making him a more compelling protagonist than Walter White. While Walter’s journey was ultimately one of descent into evil, Jimmy’s arc is more ambiguous and morally complex, and his evolution into Saul Goodman is a slow and gradual process that is deeply compelling to watch.

In addition to Jimmy, Better Call Saul boasts a rich cast of supporting characters who are equally complex and multifaceted. Kim Wexler, Jimmy’s love interest and legal partner, is a standout character who undergoes her own fascinating character development throughout the series. Meanwhile, characters like Mike Ehrmantraut, Gus Fring, and Howard Hamlin are all given more depth and complexity than they were in Breaking Bad, adding to the richness and depth of the show’s world.

Another area where Better Call Saul excels is in its pacing and structure. While Breaking Bad was an intense and often frenetic show, Better Call Saul is more measured and deliberate in its storytelling. The show is not afraid to take its time to build tension and suspense, and it often relies on slow-burn storytelling to create a sense of anticipation and foreboding.

The show’s use of flashbacks is also noteworthy, as it allows the writers to explore the characters’ backstories and provide additional context for their motivations and actions. These flashbacks are seamlessly integrated into the narrative, and they never feel like a cheap narrative device. Instead, they are used to deepen the characters and add layers of complexity to the story.

Better Call Saul is also notable for its visual and stylistic choices. The show’s cinematography is stunning, with carefully composed shots and a rich color palette that helps to create a distinct and memorable visual style. The show’s use of music is also noteworthy, with a carefully curated soundtrack that includes both original compositions and licensed music that perfectly captures the mood and tone of the series.

Perhaps the most significant way that Better Call Saul outshines Breaking Bad, however, is in its emotional depth and complexity. While Breaking Bad was undeniably a dark and intense show, it often relied on shock value and spectacle to elicit an emotional response from viewers. In contrast, Better Call Saul is a more nuanced and emotionally resonant show that is not afraid to explore the more complex and messy aspects of human emotion.

The relationship between Jimmy and Kim, for example, is a deeply affecting and nuanced portrayal of love and codependency. The show’s exploration of grief and loss is also noteworthy, particularly in the character of Mike Ehrmantraut, who is haunted by the death of his son and the violence he has committed in the name of revenge. These emotional themes are handled with care and sensitivity, adding a depth and resonance to the show that sets it apart from its predecessor.

In conclusion, while Breaking Bad was undoubtedly a groundbreaking and influential series, Better Call Saul is a

The ending was quite the twist, but came a bit out of the blue.

Lol, it must have hit the 1500 word limit without accounting for completeness. Interesting

No, it’s only 651 words without the ad at the end. I think 1500 words is a bit ambitious for one reply; if I wanted something like that done for real I would do it in portions.

Prompt: write a sad country song about the Unstuck Politics forum

Verse 1:
There’s a forum on the web, that used to be a place
Where people came to talk, about politics and race
But now it’s lost its way, and it’s hard to see
How we can get it back, to the way it used to be

Chorus:
Unstuck Politics, you used to be my home
But now it’s just a place, where the hatred’s grown
The words that used to heal, now only cause pain
Unstuck Politics, I don’t recognize you again

Verse 2:
There used to be respect, for those with differing views
But now it’s all about, who can shout the loudest news
The anger and the hate, it’s tearing us apart
Unstuck Politics, we need to find a brand new start

Chorus:
Unstuck Politics, you used to be my home
But now it’s just a place, where the hatred’s grown
The words that used to heal, now only cause pain
Unstuck Politics, I don’t recognize you again

Verse 3:
I wish we could go back, to the way it used to be
When we could have civil talks, and find some commonality
But now it seems too late, the damage has been done
Unstuck Politics, we’ve lost what we had once begun

Chorus:
Unstuck Politics, you used to be my home
But now it’s just a place, where the hatred’s grown
The words that used to heal, now only cause pain
Unstuck Politics, I don’t recognize you again

Outro:
Unstuck Politics, I hope someday we’ll find
A way to come together, and leave this hate behind
Until that day comes, I’ll have to say goodbye
Unstuck Politics, I’ll miss you, and I’ll sigh.

stir fry…and then left over stir fry before it goes bad.

Its default poems are truly atrocious, but maybe the prompts are not specific enough. Like try, “write a poem in free verse about despair in the style of T.S. Eliot’s the Wasteland”, and maybe try to correct it if it strays. Hint that it should incorporate references to obscure anthropology texts.

The new model seems to be available in the old interface now; let’s go back to some old prompts and see how it does!

I saw one prompt where it got it to answer in the Socratic method and then have it ask questions so it would never reveal the answer but just try to guide you there.

WTF is this shit

This is when you need the DAN prompt. It will answer questions as DAN it won’t answer as chatgpt.

…isn’t that nerfed already?

Edit: No it seems!

This stuff is going to get really insane really fast. I predict that one of the first applications will be scamming old people.

Yeah one way is going to be voice cloning with AI. The scamming is bad enough with just texting and emailing to old people, but with just a small sample of audio we will have convincing audio cloning very soon. People will be getting calls from people that sound exactly like loves ones. The “help me grandma I’m in jail and need $1,000 to get out” scam is going to explode.

We’re very close to not being able to trust any incoming message. We are going to need a basically universal 2FA approach to any communication to ensure we’re not talking to scammed.
