How accurate was the John Oliver piece on trucking?
Not nearly as many as you would think, and really, almost everyone who purchases a truck never finishes paying it off or trades it in for a newer truck before theyâre out of business
Or even ever builds up any equity in the truck if you count all the lease-purchase scams that truckers think counts as owning a truck
Perhaps this is weird, but Iâm interested to see your truck set up. Also have lots of questions.
Like sometimes I see cabins that look like they are 20 feet long. Whatâs going on in there? A hot tub? A Chick-Fil-A takeout window?
Is your seat comfy? They always look so bouncy. Do kids still âpull the chainâ to ask you to rip the horn?
How frequently do you look down into a car and see someone getting road head?
Road head is like 69. Sounds way better than it is.
But nothing beats road 69
Respectfully disagree with this statement.
69 should be firmly in the overrated group with like, sex in a hot tub or pool.
Road head is at least 1 tier above. Sick brag if you have upgraded your tolerance, but letâs be practical here.
Also, getting ridden in bumper to bumper, standstill traffic on interstate 400 is where itâs really at.
Still havenât watched but Iâve heard itâs pretty good.
Might put it on in the background as I give this truck a good clean in the next few hours
It could be legal. Easily might not be.
I wouldnât ever say for certain without seeing it myself, but yeah itâs probably unsafe. Or less safe than the purpose-built chassis for those containers.
Never seened it
Which interstate now?
Georgia.
Oh yeah, GA-400, on the way to Cumming
