Used leafwell to get ny cannabis patient certification and then was able to buy vapes/edibles in puerto rico. ā¦ achievement unlockedā¦ still cant buy flower without an additional step i didnt bother with this trip.
Eta: brought ny cannabis form down with me and they checked my ID against it and seemed to verify it (ny form) was real (though i dont really know what all the button pushing was) ā¦ forms and ids were copied. Everyone super nice. Selection was minimal.
Armed guard vibe wasnt great tho tbh. Still bought a hat.
Iām curious about peopleās consumptions methods.
Lately it seems like disposable vape pens are pretty much everywhere and fairly cheap. But I find them kind of gross, to be honest, with excessive āflavoringā that makes me wonder whatās in there.
Combustion has its obvious downsides. I didnāt worry too much in the past, but as my consumption has risen it isnāt the best day-to-day method. ā¦ Edibles, I have mixed feelings on. The effects are awesome (my ideal) but I donāt want to eat a bunch of sugar and shit. Lately Iāve been buying gummies from a guy I met at a cannabis market and am getting a good price, but I also canāt verify whatās in them or their potency, and itās still a bunch of sugar in the end (albeit not a ton).
So in the last week Iāve been back to my Pax vaporizer, which seems to split the middle in terms of non-edibles. Itās pure herb, which I like, but doesnāt seem to produce as much vapor and requires a bit of fussing around between bowls.
And Iām thinking about leaning into the tons of cheap herb available and make my own tinctures again. Iāve done this before with varying success, but may spend some more time trying to get it right.
Youād have to be consuming ungodly amounts of gummies before sugar becomes an issue right? Itās got to be better than inhaling either from vaping or just regular smoke.
Yes, I agree.
Seconding this. So long as you arernt chowing down on brownies or chocolate bars every night, the gummies seem to have the best high for the least calories and dangers of combustion
I swear that in a package of edibles that has 100 grams of THC, itās not evenly distributed. one of those edibles in the package will put me down, while the other 9 will be just fineā¦
I have no idea how these guys get away with this (for 5 years?) but my drug dealer drops it off in my mail box a few times a year. These are about the size of big marble.
I make my own vape carts with distillate/isolate/terps and edibles with coconut oil in a gelcap, so I know exactly whatās in them and can customize for my tastes.
You have some kind of a press?
That sounds like a lot of work and equipment, but Iām also curious to know more.
Not that much work, you can do a lot at once if you want. Plus, the equivalent of 100mg edibles are like $0.25 and 1g carts are $5, mostly hardware.
I get raw cannabinoids mostly from Distillates - Page 1 - Gilded Extracts
Mix them in the blend you want at ~150F (I use a mug warmer) and use a syringe to fill an empty vape cart.
To make gelcaps, I got one of these ($20) https://capsuleconnection.com/the-capsule-machine.html. Mix your cannabinoid blend 1:1 with coconut oil and use a syringe to fill your caps.
Those are some of my favorites.
Havenāt āsmokedā weed in years, am doing about 75% cartridges and 25% volcano vaporizer. Itās just too easy to use cartridges, even though theyāre more expensive and I end up getting way more baked, I think itās worth it. Having to grind up weed and fire up the volcano is a pain in the ass. Also Iāve stopped using cartridges with pen batteries and went to all in one cartridges. Again more expensive but I break batteries constantly so it evens out, and running out of a charge sucks.
All in one cartridges are ā¦ disposable vape pens?
Weed market in NM has gotten ridiculous. Almost 200 dispensaries in the Albuquerque area. 15$ eighths everywhere and dirt cheap concentrates and edibles.
Horrible market for the shops. Great time be a consumer.
Get it while its good. It doesnt last. CA is a good example. Still cheap, but not like that
