That’s a bit different if they have a specific bereavement policy. That’s more like sick time as there is an allowance for certain specific reasons (illness, bereavement).

To be clear he brought in his Aunts obituary and I informed HR before she pulled the " Aunt " bullshit.

Anybody can fake an obituary!!

You don’t even need to fake the obituary. Just use some random woman and claim she is your aunt.

You people are always one step ahead of HR.

what difference does it make? if someone needs time off, I don’t expect them to justify it to me. my opinion of the worthiness of their request is irrelevant.

That’s my stance, as well. My group have x days of PTO as part of their comp package, and they can use them however they damn well please. They work miracles when they’re here. I’m not going to help HR demoralize them over petty crap

But HR spent months writing and approving that policy!

My manager apparently got the plague this weekend has taken zero time off this week (all remote) :+1:

I have a job interview on Tuesday. Second round. Internal job. Slight promotion but unlikely to come with a pay rise.

I’ve made a slide to answer one of the questions that will likely come up (what are your plans for the team)

With a video conference interview I thought it might be a good approach. Adapting to the new medium and all.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a good plan to me, especially with it being internal job I think it’s fine

I like it too. Shows preparation and forethought. Don’t really see a big downside. I’d keep it to one slide, which it sounds like you are.

Love how he makes it about himself with his “cried last time” bullshit. We are ruled by sociopaths.

I wish we lived in a world where it was socially and legally acceptable to just beat the shit out of that guy after that.

Is it legal to just start building a decorative guillotine outside their corporate HQ?

Just doin’ a little workout outside of HQ. Open air, because the gyms are unsafe.
