I was sadder when Jeffrey Epstein died.

i was really holding back the schadenfreude, but this is tipping me over the edge.

And when Kurt Cobain committed suicide, Limbaugh said, “Kurt Cobain was, ladies and gentlemen, a worthless shred of human debris.”

You can draw a direct line from rush to nearly every awful thing that republicans have become in the past 30 years. His death is a truly good thing for humanity.

Rush and Newt IMO.

Yep. Rush on the media side and newt on the political. They are twin harbingers of all the awfulness we now live through. Literally millions of deaths on their hands.

I hope rush’s death was very painful.

loooool, On The Media already has already released a Rush retrospective and it’s predictably great. I’m guessing they’ve been itching to do this for a while.

I think what made Rush truly unique was the open cruelty. There are plenty of guys like Hannity and Tucker who will lie their asses off for three hours a day, but none of them will laugh at a guy for having cerebral palsy or gay people dying of AIDS or call a college student a slut. You really had to wait until Trump came through to see anything else like it. It really isn’t the politics or even the white racial grievances that bring people in, it’s the norm-breaking cruelty that fired people up.

it’s only fair that we prioritize the queue of those willing to dance on his grave in chronological order. first up Murphy Brown.

Limbaugh inherited that 1970s mentality on the right: There’s nothing he would say that was abstract or intellectual in any way. It was all extremely visceral: There was this transcendent evil behind the scenes that wanted to destroy you.

It just shows the viciousness of this person, and how badly he deranged our public life: People were literally being taught that nothing liberals could do, nothing Democrats could do, could be anything but a diabolical conspiracy to destroy them

One of my great regrets in life is that I never had it within my power to make this day come sooner.

Shame on you

Remember this asshole, only possible by fairness doctrine repeal, the next time the Reagan defenders come up for air.

I think it’s more making people comfy with their pre-existing biases.

“Rush tells it like is.”

“Rush gets it.”

“Ditto.”
