Sick burn saying he was the host of Wheel of Fortune. He asked for a big raise after the first season and they canned him. He would later say it was one of the worst decisions of his life, as he continued to make terrible decisions for the rest of his life. There are many episodes of Love Connection available on YouTube, and they are really something. I remember watching those in high school I think at midnight. As an FYI, there are likely very very very few game show hosts that will ever end up in the other thread. Most of them are bad news.

He hosted one of my favorite Game Show renaissance shows in 2000, but he was unfortunately not a great host.
I thought he was a good game show host of Scrabble but I think I was in middle school and watched that on sick days when I thought that. He was absurd on Love Connection, but the show was what made that worth watching.
