Dude, NYC will peak in 2 weeks if they are lucky.
There is still the rest of NY and 49 other states and DC and the territories, most of which are behind NYC.
This isn’t a 1 day peak and then downhill from there.
We are going to lose 1M Americans to this in 2020 and you are making jokes about it because it’s “only” 7k right now
How many deaths by what date will get you to stop joking about it and re-examine if you were wrong to joke about it now?

Any loss of life is bad - I just disagree we are going to get to that point is all.
Do you think there will be less than 46,000 deaths? Can you provide a plausible rationale for that position if you indeed hold it?
Then why are you making light of it if any is bad?

I’m ok with you disagreeing on the number; not everyone agrees it’ll be quite that bad, but you are still doing laps dunking on the low numbers right now while you can before the exponential growth shoots this past the flu shortly, which is a bad look.
When we hit 50k this month? 100k in May? 200k? What is the point where you will stop joking about it?
Is it going to take someone you personally know dying to make you somber up?
What about when Georgia alone hits 20,000 deaths?
When Florida alone hits 40,000 deaths?

Your brothers numbers are way too conservative/. We hit 1300 yesterday. It is going to be much more than 2000 at peak and peak is probably another week further out. We can probably count on having at least 30-40 days with more deaths than yesterday (many more on most of those days) and this is if we are extremely lucky. If a few large metropolitan areas blow up, it is going to be worse.
That 200k number Trump glommed onto is a number arrived at by experts but is basically a best case scenario type number. Three weeks ago we had like 50 deaths total.
Louisiana, Houston, Atlanta/Georgia, Florida all have the potential to be massive hot spots. New York has not peaked yet but we hope that it gets there soon.
