I am glad I didn’t. He disowned me twice because I confronted him over his stupidities. I always came back to mend things and our relationship now is very good.

I don’t think it’s universal. Some people will do better if they cut toxic people–including family–out of their lives, and others will do better if they always leave the light on.

My childhood friend that I’ve known since 5 years old said worst shit than what your brother wrote. Genocide levels of debauchery.
That friend was there for me everytime I needed help and when nobody else came to help. We would ride for each other through thick and thin. Every time I try to egg him like you did he would try to throw bombs right back. But I don’t judge him by his worst tendencies and he can see that. He’s always there for me. That’s what matters.
You need to stop seeing your personal relationships with other humans like the internet here. Human beings are just imperfect and awful and great when given the chance.

My childhood friend hung a confederate flag in his bedroom for years in his teens… yeah you can imagine some of the things he said.
The good traits about him. Like loyalty to friends that stick with him and always being there for his friends are traits I don’t find in a lot of humans today. For a time it wasn’t cool to be hanging with me but he did. When I was going through tough times he was there 100%. Now that I am doing much better I always keep in touch with him. I won’t forget it.
