Seems like these things Biden does are always portrayed as gaffes in the immediate aftermath but in the longer term Biden ends up having been right to say the truth instead of the politically expedient answer of the moment.
My main beef with Biden’s answer would be calling them Communist. I guess they are still run by the “Communist” party but there’s almost nothing communal about their economy anymore.

Yes there’s some weird mechanism by which people say they like genetic democrats, but dislike any actual Democrat and think any actual Democrat is somehow more liberal than any imaginary Democrat, no matter how liberal or conservative the actual Democrat is.
It seems like everything is pushing Democrats to be more conservative but its not clear how much is to be gained by it when you elect a conservative Democrat and people automatically think of him as liberal.
Unfortunately we might be headed towards a Joe Manchin is the median Democrat we should be shooting for, but also being extra racist on immigration.
