CT house just passed a bill to allow sports betting. It took a lot of negotiating to even get this far because back in the 90s the state made an agreement with the two tribes that own/run Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods to give them pretty much exclusive rights to gaming in the state. I haven’t read it yet to see if this new bill will allow non-tribal entities or what happens with DFS. It still needs to get passed in the senate, signed, and then approved by the US Department of Interior but there appears to hope I’ll be able to make some wagers before Week 1.
I’m going to head over to PA tomorrow to see if I have this on my account. Friend got it on his but only for PA. DK has been killing it with promos this week.
This is what happened to New York. You’re fucked.
What about all the other books? BetOnline is good and I don’t see anything on their site about NY being prohibited. Bookmaker is also good.
Bovada kinda sucks anyway except when your account is new.
Update: I did not have that promo:(
My friend made $400 on it though. And I have the “unlimited $100 free bets for every $1k wagered over the next 14 days” VIP promo so hopefully I’ll clear several hundred from that.
Just curious where you got the expected loss of $400. Doesn’t BJ have a house edge of less than 0.5%? At least that’s what this is showing. Blackjack House Edge - Wizard of Odds
I ask because I just got a promo for $21K in BJ to get $500 in credits. 0.44% of $21K is less than $100. If around $400 is the expected loss than there is hardly any value here. But if $90 is the expected loss than the value is closer to $400 (same as last night, awesome!). Your original post mentioned it was one of their specific BJ games. Was it a different one that had a different house edge?
You are correct. I should have been more clear that my expected loss was $400 because I run so poorly at blackjack.
J/k I just messed up in that post. Expected loss on $20k would be around $100. Obviously could swing a good bit to either side of that though depending on bet size/how many hands you play to hit the 20k.
ETA: For reference I was doing $10 hands for that I believe and lost $785. But the past two weeks I’ve done $10 hands for the FD Wednesday promo and have netted +$350 over $2k of play before the credits. Lots of swings in these small sample sizes.
WH bet $27 on the NYY at -110 to win $25 which gets doubled if they win (promo for me in IL.). Let it ride or PB $25 on the CWS +104 to hedge.
In Michigan. Got an email that for my first over the counter deposit at FanDuel (at MCC) is 50% up to $250
Wife and I both have accounts
Love that free money.
Was out of state in IL this weekend and assumed I could still bet on the sportsbooks that have IA and IL sites, but nope. Have to go physically sign up at a casino in IL if I want to bet.
Anytime IL manages to do something right they still find a way to fuck it up. I can’t wait until we get sportsbook #7 and literally no one but people living within a 20 mile radius of the home casino sign up.
Eta: that said, casinos aren’t dumb so we’ll probably never get another sportsbook.
Phil was +28000 to win before the tournament
Welp fuck me you’re right, at least in the short term. They passed the law last night and are awaiting the governor’s signature. Apparently it will allow the tribes to operate sports betting once it’s approved by the Feds. However it will effectively ban places like DraftKings for fantasy because it creates a formal licensing process they have to go through that could take many, many months. So it looks like for the NFL season we’ll be able able to legally bet on games but not play fantasy which is lol.
This line makes no sense to me, which probably means I’m the sucker who is about to lose $120 on Bucks ML. The Heat are garbage.
LoL bucks always choke in the playoffs?
They are way better this year with Jrue and Bud seems like he learned from his mistakes. I just put a bet for them to sweep as well.
Not sure how long this will be up but Adolis Garcia to hit a HR is +470 on FD and to not hit a HR is -350 on MGM.
I see so many arb opportunities with MGM but we don’t have them in Illinois.
Bad home teams get too much credit in game 3s in every sport.
