Wanting them gone and actually doing it are 2 different things. 20 million people is basically the NYC Metro area. Even if you deport 100K a month, it’s still over 20 years when you consider more immigrants entering the country while you doing this mass deportation.

Linda McMahon is amazing. This is the day Trump truly became president.
Peak years for interior removals were 2008 and 2009 with about 250k. 100k/month would be a record, but it’s doable. That’s almost 5 million people during the term. Not really close to 20 million, but it’s a lot of people.
Linda is also the only person from the previous cabinet (she was small business). she left that to run trump’s super pac.

The undocumented aren’t here to hide, they are here to work. The Trump administration will find them just how they found 200k people to deport in the prior administration. ICE will raid meat packing plants and farms and with the courts they way they are now maybe the blue states won’t be able/willing to do anything to protect kids in schools or people in hospitals or trying to get drivers licenses etc. Trump is not likely to be sending people to extermination camps and people aren’t going to hide under the floorboards to avoid deportation, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be rounding up and deporting or that it’s not heinous.

Well, I think that depends on how much of the current legal process is maintained. What if they started to give local sheriffs the ability to arrest illegal immigrants via stop and frisk? What if the used ships to send them back instead of flights. What if they started housing them in outdoor camps with sleeping bags? Etc.
The Trump administration is not competent enough to pull this off. Again, we are talking 20 million people. That is the entire population of the state of NY or Florida.
Here’s a different way to look at it. Name something Trump said he was gonna do during his first term and was successful. We had infrastructure week for 4 years. Color me skeptical at him being able to achieve this.
It still doesn’t solve the logistics problem of moving 20 million people.
