And I’ve responded to them in kind (or tried to)
Your OP was bad and alerted the attack dogs.
None. But I hear news and am allowed to think for myself, aren’t I? I doubt any of them are as pro 2A as I am either (or at least don’t hold the view that cops should simultaneously de-militarize while banning assault rifles from the general population
I should add that I grossly misunderstood the Canadian law and didn’t take the time to research it
I can agree with this. It wasn’t well thought out and I mashed it out off the top of my head without connecting my other concerns about the effect of a few big social media platforms are having on public discourse on a whole range of topics
This is all great. Seriously.
But it’s just baffling that you’re going so hard in the paint for this “free speech” issue. We have free speech. Dawkins put out a shitty tweet and suffered some consequences. That’s it. No one is being silenced.
The first and last part of this comment are inconsistent. You aren’t really thinking for yourself if you don’t take time to research things. This is a huge gap in your approach to consuming info.
Secondly, you seem to have a blind spot for where your info is coming from. You’ve convinced yourself you are a consumer of left wing commentary but you also “hear news” that is right wing gobbledygook. You’re not being honest with yourself.
That’s fine and all, but I dont think this kind of Liberal Scorecard is useful. You can’t earn enough Liberal Points to justify also holding some toxic right wing views.
Definitely this, but also you get evaluated here for the battles you fight, not the things you profess to support. If you’re only getting into protracted arguments in defense of right wing gobbledygook, you’re pretty much a right winger, even if you say you also support gay marriage or whatever.
Are you insinuating Cactus doesn’t go to RW message boards and profess these views in places where they “need” support!?
Just organically hearing about 4 year old “news” while listening to a bunch of liberal sources jlawok
Yeah, this is the point I was trying to make (though I did it poorly).
I don’t remember Cactus posting a whole lot in the voting access thread or the police threads or whatever.
I remember his posting for 3 things.
- Pretty out there views on guns
- A really dumb decision to go to a gym unmasked during COVID
- This clusterfuck
And he’s gone super hard in the paint for all of them. So hard I think that they’ve all generated their own threads. So, yeah, not a great look.
Yes but he’s only 24 and many people who did far worse things in their twenties than posting bad opinions on an irrelevant internet forum have become reformed liberals, including people here.
You were pretty much legally justified to run over protestors in those states beforehand. It’s just more solidified now.
We really arent losing free speech, we are inheriting consequences for free speech.
Dude. In the nicest possible way.
In my first post itt i listed things you can push for at work to be anti transphobic. Then in the very thread i quoted i was explicit as to what you were doing that was transphobic.
You are writing a lot of words and not doing enough reading and thinking.
I read this and I think of the intervention scene from It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia
It’s nice to see so many people care about Cactus
That’ll do it. Barstool is the epitome of toxic masculinity.
