Anyone going to be in Vegas for the SB?

Anyone been playing in Vegas or planning on coming out for the SB? I have some work related duties out there this week and I’m trying to get a scope on the pokers. It’s been almost a year since I played a hand.

Also it looks like great weather for outdoor drinking if anyone would care to tip the wrist for one. I’ll be on the strip from Wednesday to at least Tuesday morning.

Didn’t know Vegas made it to the Super Bowl this year, good to see a young team find early success.

Ah, that makes more sense then. What work is sending people to vegas right now?? Holy crap

I’ve bearded for a sports betting group moving $$ and occasionally originating. CBB has been brutal. I’m way over settle up and also plan on pounding some props. Need to put some futures in too.

Wanna get us some outs? We are due lol

I’ve done a ton of sports betting here over the last 15 years and none of that meant anything at all to me.

Could you translate?

Beard
Originating
CBB

ps if the beard thing is related to your screen name I’m ok with not knowing

Hmm the sports betting group must be lesbians so Mike serves as a beard to go on public dates with them to give the appearance of being heterosexual.

Haha i’m not much of a gambler but thanks

I know beard is like a gopher who goes and places bets on behalf of someone else (probably an advantage player who’s been banned).

This is what t…bab was claiming he was doing in the OOT thread for that one dude, but instead t…bab claimed the bookie disappeared on him and pocketed the money himself. There was never even a bookie, lol.

As jamakin said, bearding is placing bets on behalf of someone who wishes to obscure their identity. This may be a sharp bettor whose action is discouraged, if not outright banned. Some of these gamblers would cause lines to move if sportsbooks knew who they were.

CBB I assume is college basketball.

Not entirely sure about originating, but from the context, I would guess making bets with his own money rather than being a beard, or mover, for other people’s’ money.

It’s not gambling. It’s investing. Get me 10k 1k and and get a% of the profits w ZERO out of pocket or liability

It’s not a gopher. It’s sales and experience. Just can’t sign up a bookie for a syndicate to bet into. I don’t work on commission. Win or lose they pay or collect 60% and I pay or collect 40% but I’m on the hook for their 60% if the book is a stiff.

You have to find large shops that can’t afford to lose their reputation bu not paying but aren’t big enough that they recognize sharp action and shut u off in 5 bets .

My approach is more based on finesse and selling, easing the way in the first few weeks, possibly betting some negative EV, not max bet stuff. First impressions are lasting. It u get a nice 20k 2k acc from someone that pays , I throw some square, non limit bet shit in there the first few weeks. First impressions are lasting. Get an acc like that and bet 3-4 basketball teasers in the first week and the guy might not look at what your playing after that for 4 months and 50k good later.

BW, Roofus Edward etc are all geniuses on one side but wen they get a 10k 1k acc turned in and they max bet Citadel Stamford’s cbb total on a Monday night as it moves 4 points its extremely shortsighted .

So no, I’m not a gopher.
