Do you follow Admiral Cloudberg? One of the only people I’ve ever regularly given to on Patreon.
Hmmm nope. I don’t know that one. I’ll check it out.
Mentor pilot and green dot are the two main YouTube ones I follow.
You can see his stuff on Reddit as well as Medium. Great examinations and writeups, he’s really awesome at it.
Dems are incapable of politicizing this because they insist on waiting for data. Republicans win because they don’t care about being right and always get the first impression.
I’m so conflicted on this kind of thing. The rules of the game today are to ignore facts and go for the political win but those are the exact rules leading to the hellscape we are in. I honestly don’t know what the right answer here is in terms of strategy.
Stop arguing with people about which narrative they should choose (facts or emotions) and just start giving them stuff.
It’s the same answer that it is for a school shooting.
Why was there even a blackhawk helicopter in the approach vector of Reagan in the first place? The video makes it pretty obvious there is no attempt to avoid the plane.
Also Bruce is right. The GOP would be all over radical Biden’s woke hellscape and DEI filled cockpits causing this. That’s why they win. Our side will patiently “wait for data” which likely isn’t even coming in this situation because anything damaging to Trump from that military copter is never seeing the light of day. Even if it does come and it’s favorable then in a week no one will remember this anyways.
I’ll say it again. Doing this on purpose is enormously hard. It’s doing a 9/11 if the trade center was moving horizontally at 175mph and only had like 5 stories. Having this be an accident where the helicopter pilot was aware of the plane(we know they were) and still managed to hit it while trying not to hit it is nearly impossible. Especially when you factor in that this helicopter almost certainly was somewhere it shouldn’t have been. All it had to do was one of speed up, slow down, go down, go up, go left, go right. That didn’t happen. Assuming this was just random error relies on a lot of assumptions about what happened that don’t make sense.
Now i dont think this was some assisination attempt either. Likely some rogue nut job.
A buddy of mine is an ex military pilot. He lives probably 20 miles away and told me he purposely avoids that area because it’s way too busy aviation wise. Says it was only a matter of time before something like this happened. He also avoids the La Guardia airport area if he’s in NYC for the same reason. Rufuses to fly in or out of those 2 airports.
“We won’t know the cause of the accident for days, what we do know is that this reckless, ignorant administration has gutted the once vaunted safety network designed to prevent this type of accident. We will be horrified but not surprised when this happens again. Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of those involved.”
And if this place is a cluttered mess(sounds plausible) then ok sure an accident gets a lot more likely. It still doesnt make sense to have a blackhawk helicopter flying in a airport’s approach vector(down to the exact altitude), at night, when they should know a plane is approaching.
Exactly this but with less Democrat in it.
Maybe they have been trying this every day for years and finally got it right.
I mean the counterargument is exactly this. They have been doing this on accident for the last 20+ years and they finally lined up last night. I guess that’s possible.
Like this?
Better
Off hand there’s what, 3 international airports, I think 2 military bases in the area? There’s probably private airports too. I know nothing of aviation but maybe there’s too much concentrated in a small area.
And to happen in January of 2025. Makes you think
There are several areas in the US with more air traffic.
That’s crazy but I guess necessary when so many travel by plane nowadays.
