Frasier in the S16 is insanity. I wouldn’t have it in my top 1000 lol.
Sunny vs The Wire final let’s go
My lawnmower is in orbit because of this competition. not really
I missed some of the earlier rounds but Twin Peaks is the most overrated show in my TV watching lifetime (basically starting mid 1980s)
i’ve just been looking to see who everyone who voted against trailer park boys in the first round votes for in every matchup and vote against them.
Fair. The name of the game is rustles.
TPB S1 was amazing. Imo it dropped way off immediately starting S2.
Mad Men, The Wire, Breaking Bad and The Sopranos are the Mount Rushmore / Final Four from every TV critic collectively. Kinda odd the four 1 seeds match up in the RO16
The whole thing was invalided the minute The Office got knocked out by Iona or whatever. Rogged bullshit
Fraiser ran for 9 seasons on network TV, twice the average and this was after the long run of Cheers. Longevity alone qualifies it for this competition even if it isn’t your cup of tea.
You are like an art critic sipping wine practically only watching prestige TV and liking it because you’re supposed to. You don’t even seem to understand Frasier was prestige TV.
I avoided Frasier until maybe 2017 or 2018. It is an absolutely elite sitcom and great background TV watching. I say this a person who firmly believes Cheers is the best sitcom of all time. I was very wrong to dismiss Frasier when it came out, but I corrected that error. If it’s not in your top 1000, you’ve watched literally every TV show ever to come to that conclusion and even if you have it’s incredibly laughably wrong. Even Chico and the Man probably cracks the top 1000 (second time I’ve brought up that totally average sitcom).
I’d like to see you, out of your own mind, describe why you do and don’t like certain TV shows, because I’ve seen nothing deep from you about anything you’ve posted in this thread. It all seems based on what others say. You can easily correct this assumption if you want to. You seem incapable of understanding anything that isn’t to your taste, which is the antithesis of understanding creativity.
It’s extremely easy to go find ‘best of’ lists, watch everything on them, and end up on the right side of history without knowing s*** about anything, while missing tons of great stuff that doesn’t make many of those curated lists. The stuff you crap on is why I say this. You don’t have bad taste in TV but almost everything you watch seems curated no matter what you say about your experience many years ago with TV Land. You also act like TV only got good post-2000. That’s absurd. It just started doing different things because there were more outlets allowing for more risky experimentation.
The real change in TV, in my opinion, probably came from Burn Notice, possibly the first hybrid serialization. It took much longer for true serialization to take off and LOST is largely to blame for that, because of how it abused viewers with unpaid off storylines. Most viewers hate that s*** as they should. TV became radically different maybe post-2011, but that’s largely due to writers not routinely insulting their audiences’ ability to pay attention. Many shows still do, and a lot of those shows are beloved in writers and critics circles. That’s because writers want to work on successful shows and critics want access.
The most rigged thing was The Twilight Zone losing a 50/50 on a ‘coin flip’ by Risky who had voted for Star Trek TNG. Absurdity, rustlety
wat
Exactly, you are such a bad faith a-hole it’s not even funny. Prove me wrong. I want to be. Put any effort into a response when challenged and it would be impressive.
I’m the A hole? I’m living so rent free in your head you wrote a manifesto about me lol.
I’ve watched more tv than you. And your takes are terrible. Burn Notice is what changed tv has to be one of the worst takes I’ve ever read on the internet.
He’s reigned it in a lot in the last year or two, but nunn writing a long super insulting post at someone and then calling them an a-hole is vintage nunnehi Nice to see you back to your old tricks.
Like I said, you know absolutely nothing about what you’re talking about, and you are saying it to someone who’s been working in the industry for 4 decades. Defend your positions. Try, it’s fun. But you have no idea what you’re talking about so you can’t.
I don’t waste time with morons.
I have my breaking points and I’m extremely tired of him. You’ve grown too, thanks.
Responding to my post with wat is what got him the a-hole in case you’re wondering
Your breaking point was me insulting Frasier. Grow up.
