Guess what? We decided the best pizza. We decided the best pie. We even decided the best TV theme song.

Now it’s time to decide the GOAT TV series.

Submit your nominations below with whatever writeup you want.

May I have volunteers to handle brackets and vote polls?

NewsRadio, my favorite show of all time. I don’t expect it to win, but I want to get my plug in anyway.

Season 1 is a little shaky, but seasons 2-4 are sublime. Season 5 is rough after Phil Hartman died, but it still has some of the funniest episodes, including one where Matthew turns 30 and becomes a punk, and Joe makes a fake smart drink for Matthew, but Matthew is so stupid he believes it’s real, and therefore it actually turns him into a super genius.

Hoo boy.

I suppose I won’t be able to resist following this, but this is going to produce a larger number of annoying results than even the TV theme draft.

Anyway, Seinfeld.

I wouldn’t put NewsRadio or Seinfeld in the top 100 probably. Annoying laugh track schlock.

Wire
Breaking Bad
Better Call Saul
Mad Men
Sopranos

no writeups needed, imo

The three greats are The Twilight Zone, The Original Star Trek, and The Simpsons.

Also, I am opposed to this

I hate to leave Columbo out, but there can only be three.

I dont expect it to go far with you all, but Arcane is absolutely a top 50 show and should be in here.

Ill also stick my neck out for some other possible animation shows. The Simpsons is a no brainer, but both King of the Hill and Futurama should be in thr conversation

Some of these don’t hold up well socially/culturally, but they are still fantastic

MASH

The show with Hawkeye Pierce. Don’t know why it’s not letting the * between the letters show.

It’s The Wire and it’s not particularly close.

Stick around. Could be some rustles in store for you.
